They never understand the concept of a minimum wage and how raising the minimum wage leads to price increases. Also the dirty little secret is some now earn enough to pay taxes or earn too much to receive some government benefits.
I have never seen the issue addressed by the proponents of $15 an hour. It is as if they have no understanding of the difference in skill and value between a job that is worth the current minimum, and a job that is truly worth $15.
Nobody uses ‘common sense’.
When ‘they’ offer free college, free cell phones, free food etc. NO ONE understands that somewhere down the line they will be paying for it. (Of course providing they do ‘something’ with the education etc)
Of course with people having absolutely no idea how ‘jobs’ work and that if I am to pay someone 15 per hour for unskilled labor, it won’t be long before the skilled labor wants their ‘share’ — rightfully so as the companies will have to adjust the cost of doing business and pass it on to the consumers, who in effect will be going after their bosses for more money to ‘keep up’ with the economy.
EVERYTHING is steered by this and the ‘boards’ of the bigger corporations are not about to absorb the new ‘losses’.
Which, I am sure, is how the Pols ‘think’ it will work that McDonalds etal will just ‘eat’ the 8 buck an hour increase.
Whenever I ‘argue’ with a company I always tell them that I want to speak to the person who gets the last .01 out of every dollar.
He gives (them)all .99 to play with but wants HIS .01, hell or high water - that is who I want to deal with - he actually cares and has a vested interest in the Company and product.
Why not just have the government provide us with our daily list of tasks and also, the government can decide what we need and notify us of our deliveries? We don’t need such ugly things as prices and wages do we? (sarcasm )
Piker!!! Make it $1000 per. Is this fool a racist or something???!
Post of the day nominee.
