I don’t know what prompted the change either. I do know that many who enlist as non citizens do their re-enlistment and swearing in as citizens at the same ceremony. I have seen one of those before. I don’t have much of a problem with somebody who does 3 or 4 years in the military becoming a citizen. They have done enough for their country at that point to merit it.
Your lack of any comprehensive response confirms that your ‘98 sign up date means nothing, so shove it troll.
By the way, when did YOU serve in the military since you’re so effin’ curious about MY service?
After you answer that, you can bugger off.

USAF 71-75. E1-E4,
Saw a number of cowardly rich boys like Trump who were draft dodgers 4 medical deferments what a joke,
BTW before his grandstanding stunt last month he gave more to the Clinton FOundation than to the 9-11 charities and military vets combined.
I will presume you were in diapers during Viet Nam and have no knowledge of what was happening at that time.
BYE BYE sonny
From the article in the

Two months later, on September 17, 1968, he underwent a military physical assessment which he failed because of the bone spurs. It was not clear if the condition was discovered by the military doctor, or whether Mr Trump brought a letter from his own doctor.
Draft board records showed he had passed a similar physical assessment two years earlier, but at that time he was still a student.
Mr Trump played sports including basketball and baseball at university and his campaign has said the bone spurs were a “minor” and temporary condition.

So he played 2 college sports in college that involves a lot of running. But he is too crippled to serve.
OKIE DOKIE.
it’s no big deal, hundreds of ways were possible to not get drafted
It was not only legal, but rather normal
Yep - a MEDICAL deferment, as described in the article and excerpt.
