Precisely. OJ Simpson has more sincerity and honesty.

Everybody was wonderful in that movie, even Kevin Spacey was perfect. It’s the only time, outside of Red October, I can actually stand watching Alec Baldwin.

No not his fault. It was the cowardice of the Clinton administration that had many chances to take out Bin Laden. I fault Bush for the line that “Islam is a religion of peace”.

Bush did not lie about WMD.

They were found.

The Duelfer Report by the CIA disclosed the weapons and their locations long before Bush left office.

According to the Duelfer report, basically nothing was found in the chemical or nuclear area. In the biological area no weapons were found but it was determined that Iraq may have tried to maintain the capability to get back into this after sanctions were lifted.

Thus the image presented to the public in the lead-up to the Iraq invasion was certainly a gross exaggeration.

Some "key findings" from the Duelfer Report:

Chemical:

"While a small number of old, abandoned chemical munitions have been discovered, ISG judges that Iraq unilaterally destroyed its undeclared chemical weapons stockpile in 1991. There are no credible indications that Baghdad resumed production of chemical munitions thereafter, a policy ISG attributes to Baghdad's desire to see sanctions lifted, or rendered ineffectual, or its fear of force against it should WMD be discovered."

Nuclear:

"Iraq Survey Group (ISG) discovered further evidence of the maturity and significance of the pre-1991 Iraqi Nuclear Program but found that Iraq's ability to reconstitute a nuclear weapons program progressively decayed after that date."

"Saddam Husayn ended the nuclear program in 1991 following the Gulf war. ISG found no evidence to suggest concerted efforts to restart the program."

Biological:

"ISG judges that Iraq's actions between 1991 and 1996 demonstrate that the state intended to preserve its BW capability and return to a steady, methodical progress toward a mature BW program when and if the opportunity arose."

"In practical terms, with the destruction of the Al Hakam facility, Iraq abandoned its ambition to obtain advanced BW weapons quickly. ISG found no direct evidence that Iraq, after 1996, had plans for a new BW program or was conducting BW-specific work for military purposes."

"ISG judges that in 1991 and 1992, Iraq appears to have destroyed its undeclared stocks of BW weapons and probably destroyed remaining holdings of bulk BW agent. However ISG lacks evidence to document complete destruction. Iraq retained some BW-related seed stocks until their discovery after Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)."

"Dr. Rihab Rashid Taha Al 'Azzawi, head of the bacterial program claims she retained BW seed stocks until early 1992 when she destroyed them. ISG has not found a means of verifying this. Some seed stocks were retained by another Iraqi official until 2003 when they were recovered by ISG."

"In spite of exhaustive investigation, ISG found no evidence that Iraq possessed, or was developing BW agent production systems mounted on road vehicles or railway wagons."

Trump’s only 38 points ahead on the Drudge poll. Down from 40.

He’s doomed.

Well, I’m not a Christian so the millions of Christians that used to be in Iraq shouldn’t matter to me either. Especially since they’re dirty and brown. /s

I hope so, with many reservations, if its a choice between him and Hilary. He will do damage to the GOP brand, but no more than GW did.

I agree he will win the nomination. Pretty much a 90% chance of that. But the general he will lose.

Interesting to hear the spin here on FR on Trumps pro abortion position. Interesting to see them “Harry Reid” him out of trouble.

Saddam was lying. He was spending money on himself and harem for his General.
What Saddam did in 9/11 that Bush had to attack him?

If no-fly zone was issue, this end result is worth it.

Sr. Bush supported Bangladesh carnage in 1970. Check his statements during 1970-1971, when he was UN Ambassador.

Trump took himself out of the race by attacking George W. Bush

I'm seeing this pro-Iraq war, pro-Bush talking point a lot lately. I wonder where it's coming from - Weekly Standard? National Review? It sure isn't coming from the grassroots. The Bush name is toxic and has been since 2006 when his political blunders cost us congress. (He lost me with amnesty, by the way.)

I still haven't seen a single Jeb Bush yard sign anywhere. Not one. And I've seen Carly and Rand Paul yard signs, so I've been looking!

” a small number of old, abandoned chemical munitions have been discovered”

Yup. Dozens of chemical weapons were found and in volume three of this same report, they indicate where those weapons were found.

This is not equivalent to “HE LIED THERE WRE NO WMD!!!!”

I am fine with people nuancing this as you and others want to do.

I agree that there was far less than what was expected was found.

But because we won the war, the Left created a hysterical angry lie that Bush lied men died.

Our failure to defend President Bush encourages the neo-jacobin left to do this garbage everytime we go to war.

Saddam was required to disclose and destroy all weapons. That along with dozens of other violations of agreements means he lost a war.

Not sad.

Glad he lost

Glad we won.

Wont join the Left and Trump in denouncing the war in Iraq.

When we stop surrendering the history of our war fighting, our global success will increase immeasurably.

Civility was buried tonight and Trump had the biggest shovel.

The left is vulgar, rude, obnoxious, ugly, vicious and never apologizes and they control the courts, government, education, most corporations and at least half the churches.

Maybe civility doesn't work when you're in a cultural war.
