The political trash have been trashing Capitalism’s brand for quite some time now.
Well at least 1/3 of Republicans seem to prefer socialism too, so how can we get upset about this anymore?

Doesn’t colleges require reading “The Road to Serfdom,” and “Atlas Shrugged,” anymore?
Can’t Millenials see what’s happening to Europe?
Socialism and communism has failed everywhere it’s tried not an indication?
Oh well, the stage has been set for CWII.

I think a lot of people who had kids did so because they were under the impression that if you’re a parent, you’re automatically respectable, empowered, believable, important, mature and protected. How much was it for the sake of the children and their future, health and their pursuits of happiness? I see some of these people as being self-centered narcissistic weaklings who bring children into the world for use as accessories to be seen with. The tendency is to have all kinds of praise heaped upon them for doing nothing more than reproducing sexually. Big f-ing deal! When people start thinking more about how their children will fare in this world instead of how much they’ll be admired by their peers for having babies in the house, in the store and in the car, then maybe our domestic culture will have come up from the lowest point it has ever been.
Whether this is actually by Tytler or not it is still true.

As Orwell said when you control the language you control the debate. “Crony capitalism” is the term being used almost universally to describe behavior that is historically and accurately defined as FASCISM. As long as The Left gets to use the language as they choose, via their control of every major societal institution, conservatism simply cannot win. As Limbaugh says, everybody likes voting for Santa Claus (collectivism).
Because genuine capitalism has never been practiced in their lifetime.
That was my first thought as well. If the government is going to keep bailing out industry after industry anyhow, why not put the government in charge in the first place?
Crony capitalism always self-destructs, and too many self-proclaimed capitalists have bought into crony capitalism. Obamacare is as much crony capitalism as anything -- the insurance companies and those who profit from medicine were generally all for it, thinking that they'd have even more customers demanding even more procedures.
I'd like to say they deserve what's going to happen, except they're taking down a lot of people who never had a chance because of the school system they were trapped in lied to them for twelve or thirteen years. I fear for my kids' generation.
I think my kids will be okay, because they have a lot of resources and don't expect the government to take care of them the way so many of their contemporaries are, but OTOH I know they aren't going to have the opportunities I had, much less the opportunities their grandparents had.
You can blame academia for a lot of that. When I was in school fifty years ago, I had teachers who preached against "creeping socialism."
I would wager a great pct. of teachers today are closet socialists
I would bet you a very large pct. of millennials have no idea what you're talking about if you mention Venezuela. They'll know all the modern rap groups and hot singers, but they probably think Venezuela is some kind of Hispanic hip-hop group.
They learn in their classrooms that capitalism is evil and the source of all problems in the world. Thank a teacher for teaching the lie.

There are still millions of people who suffered horribly because of socialism and communism. So there needs to be a documentary series that details the horrors inflicted on them in their lives, as told by them. It should be very graphic.
Put on DVD, they should be given away by the hundreds of thousands, with one resounding message: socialism in *any* form is evil, dehumanizing, and murderous.
Mail such a DVD to every high school student in the US.
