In the NY legislature, the actual members are little more than trained dogs. All legislation is created by the Speaker of the Assembly, the Senate majority leader, and the governor. All members must vote for this legislation, and these are the only bills that have a chance of passage.

Any member who doesn’t like this will find himself back practicing law in short order.

“If the bill passes, Apple would face fines of $2,500 for every device sold in New York.”

Look for iPhone sales in New Jersey and Pennsylvania to soar if this becomes law! these pukes in the NY Legislature will not be able to get the phone service providers to give them any subscriber equipment info, so NY just looses a bunch of sales tax revenue along with more pissed off voters.

So, you go to CT and get a phone there.
Will Facebook stop selling phones ala their new gun policy?
Can you use an encrypted phone in NYC if the bill passes?

See tagline.

That sounds like The One’s plan to make Apple build Iphones in the USA. Of course he says lots of ridiculous things to keep the media focused on him.

How should unbreakable encryption be dealt with?

Abandoning the centuries of legal development behind the Fourth Amendment so Apple can make a few bucks seems extreme.

If Hillary isn’t prosecuted for mishandling secret data we can’t allow the government to have access to our phone secrets.

I don’t think this should be allowed anyhow but we can tie it to Hillary prosecution

Hmmm. And all this time I’ve heard republicans called nazis, gestapo, thugs, and how they want to eliminate all privacy.

Meanwhile I’m going to go post the most intimate details of my life on facebook.

A guy from the most corrupt and compromised state in the union wants to be able to access your data at will. What’s wrong with this picture?

Get a warrant, asshat.

How long before we need a concealed carry-type organization for phones? Sheesh!

But we’re still free, right?
