Actually, Trump *does* play by the rules. But the previous rules have been FUBAR by the communists & their corrupt & spineless enablers, the republicans.
For some of us, those rules never changed. Which is why we love him.

. the other hand, the shinning winner can only be diminished by sharing his light with a loser, which is of course why winners shun sharing their light with losers.

BINGO

Don’t play by the rules. Bad boys. Women like them bad boys don’t they. Trump seems to attract beautiful women. This ugly man will pass.

Part of that rule breaking Rush used as an example was, he claimed, that Trump referred to Kelly’s monthly cycle. Now I thought that that was interesting, that after this length of time, the smear that was started by Erick Erickson has seeped into Rush’s memory as a fact.

Trump said:

“You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever. In my opinion, she was off base.”

Sentence structure:

You could see: “blood coming out of her eyes”; the verb “see” continues, so “you could SEE blood coming out of her wherever”. Trump was referencing blood that could be seen.

What Rush, etc., alluded to cannot be seen.

I managed to get an attractive woman when I was young. She also had an attractive personality and a love for life and those around her. 47 years later, I still have that person. I'm not poor, but I could not have done better with lots of money.

No. The 0 has always had the media in his pocket; they're practically like lap dogs waiting for the command to bark.

With the Fox debate, Trump knew a setup when he saw it, and he's called Fox News out on it. And that's something we've always been telling candidates on our side to do: Avoid biased debates!

Frankly, I'm glad Trump doesn't want to be around negative people and wants to avoid the firing squad. I'd rather see him do something positive, like helping support our Vets, as he will do.

And Ted begging for a debate shows his weak position.

Disagree. It's smart of Cruz. He's distinguishing himself from the also-rans and reminding everyone that there are only two realistic contenders--him and Trump. He's also calling out Trump in a quite credible fashion: Trump is indeed hiding from the fray to avoid damage. And everyone knows that one-on-one debate is in Cruz's wheelhouse. So I found it an effective schoolyard challenge.

I like them both. They both have balls of steel. But that's what's going on. This is what we need in this country's leadership. They are upping each other's game, and I suspect the benefit will even spread to other Republican office-holders and future cabinet members. This is how conservatives need to behave. Throwing out the rules and defying the empty blowhards who have taken over the processes of our public discourse and governance, based on nothing.

Good for Trump for deciding the 6th GOP debate was too much for him. He's doing something to raise money for vets instead.

Good for him. That means he's a leader and not a follower. Going against the grain is a good thing.

time to try something different.

That’s what I heard from everyone who voted for Obama, too.

I like Cruz but anyone who knows how to read people can tell that Trump is afraid of no one. He joked about it tonight and really needs to stop. It’s so petty and not true. I want to know what thinks about the law and the constitution since his fearlessness has taken him out of bounds in his business practices. He’ll love the work of the CIA and the FBI and the Dept of InJustice. LOL

This has nothing to do with how Trump will deal with other world leaders. It has everything to do with how he’ll deal with the press! Trump is laying the groundwork for later.

How many times did we all want to shoot our televisions while watching George W Bush suck up to the White House press corps during press conferences? He would diligently answer their gotcha questions without a thought about the trap he was stepping into. And then the twisted headlines the next day would all be about how stupid his answer was!

Now I ask you, what do you think a press conference with President Trump would be like? With this history of his triumph over Fox under his belt, me thinks it will be a bit different.

And I sure as hell am looking forward to it!

Not nearly as many as I (I am a geologist, there are rocks around) wanted to see how small a rock would kill the TV during the Clinton years.

During the Waco Hearings, I had to remove all the rock and mineral specimens, and other dense objects from the room, especially while watching it on CNN. They were relocated to a different part of the house.

However much FOX has been drifting left and could use an orbital adjustment, the other networks are the consummate problem. If he takes on the MTV crowd and the John Stewart/Madcow types, maybe the millennials will catch on.

If he doesn't need to tune them up, I question the dogs who don't bark.

“I’d rather see him do something positive, like helping support our Vets, as he will do.”

I agree it was a Fox ambush but they would have hit all the candidates. The thing I detest about Trump he took cover behind Wounded Vets for purely political purpose. As a VN vet I deeply resent that. The organization involved recognized they were being played and declined the money.

If you want to help our vets , as I do, do it quietly for them, not yourself DT.

Then that's you. You're a private citizen who prefers to keep things privately, as you should. But, when you're in Trump's position, running for President, dealing with a pack of liberally biased media wolves attacking you, you attack back...HARD! You handle it as the grown-up in the room, and not be a weeny about it.

Trump "hiding behind"? Are you kidding? Our Vets have been put in the back-burner for soooo long, it's a outright shame! He's been asking all the TV stations to donate the debate monies to the Vets since DAY ONE! While you see him as "hiding," I see him bringing the importance of our Vets to the forefront. Trump is showing what its like to be proud of this country.
