Is Bloomberg out to ruin Hillary Clinton’s party?

I have a friend who is a pessimist. He saw this and said it was an obvious attempt to split the Republican vote!

I was floored. I said it would take votes from Hillary, but that in a Hillary/Bloomberg/Trump race in New York, I could not predict the winner.

We had dinner, last night, with a couple who are former New Yorkers. He said he was very disappointed with Hillary. She isn’t the woman he thought she was. He thinks Trump is a little too crude for his taste but he loves Bloomie. If push came to shove,I doubt he would ever be a Trump voter and would probably go with Hil but if Bloomie enters the race, that’s his guy.

I don't believe Bloomberg would get out of single digits anywhere except NY (and he knows it).

My sense is neither. He sees an opening and since he loves telling others what to do and since he thinks he’s so damn smart compared to everyone else, he can’t pass it up. I’ve no info other than what I already relayed.

I would say this. If Bloomberg runs as a third-party guy...it’s mostly because he has inside information of Hillary facing charges and knows that Bernie is the Democrat’s top choice.

The thing is...if you go state by state....with Bernie, Trump and Bloomberg....I think Bloomie could win California and maybe two other states. With the Electoral College, if you don’t cross the 270 vote threshold....it goes to the House, where each state has one single vote among it’s legislative members.

I think that’s Bloomies intention....drawing this over to the House, where the Republican elite can shift their stance and pull Bloomberg as their choice instead of Trump.

It would be comical....Bloomberg getting ranked third on nation-wide votes, and ending up in a House situation where the elite bring him up for the job of President.
