You raise an interesting point because at the same time “the few” are asking God to restore our nation, “the many” are openly breaking gods rules and shaking their fists at him still killing babies for convenience sake, the super rich and government are robbing people blind, children are enslaved, and evil reigns. I see the frightening concepts in the bible of poetic justice, and god using bigger and more evil actors as a club. I also see the masses both good and evil getting swept along by whatever their rulers do. I believe America deserved obama. Europe deserves the “invasion” of muslims. I am praying for a good leader too but it will be interesting to see what God does.
Right enemy, wrong war. I almost added Jan Sobieski, but since there were two sieges of Vienna, and since John of Austria’s prayer leadership was so legendary, I went with him as an example.
I don’t think there is a leader who could bring us together. The hatred and vitriolic language is tearing us apart.
We’re screwed.
Jeremiah 20:25. Read the whole chapter. I tend to be very sarcastic and love the Die Hard movies so it could be me.
I'm sure my wife would say that applies to me on a regular basis.
I've always been partial to the verse where Jesus says, "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven."
I can almost hear Him prefacing that with a, "Sheesh."
“For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, ‘For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.’”—Romans 9:17
Based on the above, ANY of them...depending on whether God wants to show mercy or to harden.
Yeah, but if we’re called to prayer, we’re called to be the Israelites, not the Egyptians.
Without a doubt, Cruz can ably lead our nation in prayer; what is less certain is if Cruz can get elected.
Equally without doubt, Trump can most ably lead our nation to reform policy and action, and get it done; hopefully, with the appointed help of Cruz, Carson, Huckabee, Christie, Kasich, and others.
Amen!
Outside of the Republican echo chamber, Trump is on the verge of becoming the most disliked nominee ever. His disapproval ratings are at staggering high levels. Quinnipiac had Cruz up by one over Cilnton (which is actually pretty good, since he is so poorly known), but Trump getting killed by 13.... and Sanders killing him by 19.
Right now the polls are highly divergent, because no-one knows how to figure out who is likely to vote. Some polls are much more favorable to Trump. But the notion that Trump is somehow more electable is absurd.
