“I’m afraid that at the end of the day, he’s just another guy with a pen and a phone.”
I couldn’t agree more.
Sources please. All I have heard out of him is "I."
Haha - a homework assignment?
I’ve done more than my share around here. I’m betting all you’ve heard are glowy generalities.
“A victory by his unorthodox campaign will help drive a stake thru the heart of the Old Guard.”
I’m not so sure about that. He is the one that is saying that he will be able to make deals in DC. His quote below sounds more like he is willing to go along to get along.
âYou know, hereâs another guy who canât get a deal done so he sits behind a desk signs an executive order, he gets sued and letâs see what happens in five years from now, OK? But thatâs not the way do you it. You get Congress, you get them together, you get everybody together in a room, you cajole, you get along, you have dinner and you make deals. And you know everybody hates Ted. Itâs a very tough thing. They all hate him for a lot of reasons, but they all hate him. And by the way heâs attacked me so when he attacks me as you know Iâm a counter puncher,â Trump insisted.
“Cite one quote in which Trump talks about going through Congress to get something done. One.”
I posted one in #45. The source is here: http://dailycaller.com/2016/01/18/trump-everybody-hates-ted-video/
That said, in all honesty, I did not post it as a favorable quote. However, he is talking about making deals with the legislature.
“He says it every day about heâll go through Congress while heâs saying that Cruz canât and couldnât and wouldnât and wonât.”
I agree and will give Trump due credit for his statements on executive orders and working WITH McConnel and Ryan. However, I also have to ask what changed with our respect for candidates that actually oppose McConnel and Boehner?
"Deals" with whom? Democrats?
Well, in fairness you did ask for a single quote, so I provided one. I personally object to him talking about making deals with McConnel/Ryan. However, it is him referencing and acknowledging the legislative branch.
Besides, it’s called management silly! ;-)
