Anyone that doesn't understand the illegal invasion from south of the border is the defining of this election and of our time is plain ignorant and dangerous.

A sign of the times: immediate opinions based upon cursory glances.

If President Trump tties to pull a fast one on immigration and the wall there will be blood. Half the country has given up on politics as usual, thrown out the Republican party. There will be one recourse if Trump backfires. It means that secession will be the only other option or capitulation.

Nobody else will build the wall. The next President can shut the door but a least the wall will be in place. The wall is both symbolic and functional.

I don’t expect Republicans an Conservative politicians to win every fight. But I do expect them to show up on the field and put up a fight every time regardless of the outcome; they have to at least fight. They don’t even do that.

I like the IDEA of Ted Cruz (someone who takes the conservative position on nearly everything. But I don’t like Cruz. And that’s what makes me afraid that too many people JUST WON’T LIKE HIM for him to win. People seem to find him greasy-looking, and funny looking, and funny-sounding.

You can tell by a lot of the comments people make about Trump, and other candidates, that the commenters have no idea what the job of the President is.

He’s NOT Commander-in-Chief OF THE COUNTRY. He’s the Chief Executive in the government. He’s Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces.

He is not responsible for spiritual and moral renewal. He is not a healer. He is not head of any church.

I want the President to seal the borders, eliminate the income tax, repeal the 16th, 17th, and 19th amendments, cut off all federal money going to all churches, and start deporting Muslims—after Congress finds that Islam is not a “religion” within the meaning of the 1st amendment.

Since the 14th Amendment was written to protect the rights of freed slaves, the 14th amendment should be repealed. This would do away with ALL of the Supreme Court’s evil rulings based on the 14th Amendment, including the “incorporation doctrine” and the abortion decisions.

RE:”Personally, I never thought much of Palin one way or the other. That she's also an opportunist, really doesn't surprise.”

No one here will accuse me of taking direction from Palin.
And that is an understatement.

Her endorsement of Trump doesn't surprise me in the least.

The show goes on.

Get a ticket to get on the TRump roller coaster now.
Conservative, liberal, GOPe ??
No one knows what will come next from him.
Commit to the surprise in the box and be part of making America Great again.”

Longer term I think we know.

If I hear somebody who convinces me that they're gonna stop this," meaning, this upending immigration, "if we have somebody that's gonna stop this lawlessness, if somebody is going to deal with it and put up a wall or do whatever it takes... The wall is symbolic.

If they're gonna do something to stop this, I'm all-in," because to a lot of people, it is the defining issue. If this doesn't get done, then all the rest of what happens in the future is academic because the country's gonna be so altered and changed and transformed and redefined for the worse that it doesn't matter.

We're pulling in people who never vote based on the above...

McConnell is leader of the senate. The election won’t change that. It’s all about the art of the deal. Trump save some Mitch face today. Not happy, but he has to work with these people in a Congress controlled by Rinos, & establishment unipartiers.

Trump will use the bully pulpit, if they don’t work with him.

I thought that was common knowledge. Rush has always fronted for the big money crowd that owns the GOP. Despite feigning concern on issues like illegal immigration he invariably ends up supporting open border candidates. Same with One-Way trade deals like Nafta and TPP that have killed manufacturing in this country.

With Rush it is always "follow the money" and that is the GOPe through and through. I don't know why so many people get hoodwinked by this guy. Anyone that spends over half their time bragging about themselves is not one to be taken seriously.

I accidentally started reading the middle of that sentence, and I thought you were talking about Trump.

Uh, sure he won’t sell us out. The art of the deal will make a (bad) deal with McConnell.

I don't get why this somebody convinces anybody. He spins on a dime, forgets what he said yesterday and isn't coherent for more than one phrase a sentence.

I get that immigration is the big issue; I don't get why Trump convinces anyone he's going to do anything he says - today.

You can pull them in, but they still never vote.
