Another one in his sixties. Been a bad couple of weeks
He’ll ain’t froze over, Glen.
Man, they’re dropping like flies. Life is so short.
He took it to the limit.
Nor is Hell.
Durn auto correct.
Ya. Especially Frey. Apparently Don Felder made some offhand comment about one of Frey’s liberal causes and that was it for Felder. He was out.
Thumbs up!
Clapping etc...
Oh wow.
RIP.
What the hell?
Smugglers Blues was so cool back in the day.
We’ve lost a yearful in two weeks.
Glenn probably was a control freak (along with Henley), but I prefer his voice personally...and I love the Eagles...such great memories of the ‘70’s...RIP
WTH?
What? Is God sleeping off the Universe's most epic hangover????
67,is way too young to go nowadays.
That was at their last concert in 1980 before they broke up. They were doing a fund raiser show for Alan Cranston (D-CA). Felder said he hate politics and didn't want to be aligned with anyone politically. So we when Alan Cranston came over to thank all the Eagles, Don Felder said snidely, “You're Welcome....I guess”
Frey got all pissed off and was threatening Felder throughout the whole show. At the end of the show, the had an altercation and both stormed off in separate lemo’s. The Eagles would not perform again until 1994. Felder got kicked out of the band in 2001 over financial issues with Don Henley and Frey. He sued them and it was eventually settled out of court.
Frey had invited Alan Cranston backstage before a concert during which time Glenn thought Felder less than respectful of the senator. Threatened to punch him out and was still mad at him decades later.
You know you’re getting old when more and more names appear in the obits that you know personally or professionally. Great music no matter their politics.
I suspect we’ll see alot of aging rockers die in the next few years. These are guys who lived exessive lifestyles with booze, drugs and promiscuity. Those things take a toll on you and affect your health in later years.
Glenn Frey’s ongoing stomach issues, by his own admission, was a byproduct of his heavy cocaine use in the 70’s.
