Don Henley wrote that one.You're right. In the documentary, Frey tells the story of how the song came to be. Henley wrote the song and Frey came up with the "straight Chuck Berry" riff. I stand corrected.
Still amazed either one of them would write it.

Seger & Frey grew up together in Michigan as teenagers. What are the odds they would go on to be two of the biggest acts in the 70s/80s. About the same as Don Felder and Stephen Stills LOL.
