A: One thing about me, I'm a very honorable guy. I'm pro-life, but I changed my view a number of years ago. One of the primary reasons I changed [was] a friend of mine's wife was pregnant, and he didn't really want the baby. He was crying as he was telling me the story. He ends up having the baby and the baby is the apple of his eye. It's the greatest thing that's ever happened to him. And you know here's a baby that wasn't going to be let into life. And I heard this, and some other stories, and I am pro-life.

Q: So those stories did change you, they came around and changed you?

A: They changed me. Yeah, they changed my view as to that, absolutely.

What a horrible, horrible person! /s

If Trump becomes President, he will have twice as many ex-wives as all the previous Presidents combined.

Throwing lots of stone there, bud. Did you check to make sure you were without sin first? That what's Christ said to do... I'm sure you consider youself a high quality Christian.

I also like how Trump described the child: here’s a baby that wasn’t going to be let into life.

Toward the end of his life (1869-1948) Gandhi said that he had, many times, found him-self in the wrong and therefore changed his mind.

In his early life, Saul of Tsarus was a Roman citizen who participated in the persecution of Christians, but after a vision on the road to Damascus, he embraced the religion he used to persecute.

Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.

Now here you are using a video that is 17 years old as proof of what Trump is.

No, I am using a video to show what New York values are. It isn't about Trump's views, per se. It is about how his excusing his adoption of those views by saying that they are New York views.

I have not knocked Trump's views from 16 years ago. I have knocked him for his views expressed over the last few months and his 100% support of Kelo. I am philosophically opposed to his suggestion that the government shell out for unpaid medical bills, his praise of single-payer, his call for expediting the return of deported illegals, his opposition to private property rights, and his willingness to influence government to get what serves him - all at the expense of others.

I see you are not familiar with the legal restrictions placed on PACs, primarily that a candidate have zero influence over them.

Trump described it as a New York Value in the video clip. I hope you have watched the clip because in it Trump says that his pro choice and pro gay rights views are because he grew up and works in New York City. He even said during this interview that maybe his views would have been different if he had grown up in Iowa. So, at the time of this interview Trump clearly knew that New York values meant social liberalism. So, his claim that Cruz was somehow demeaning the 911 responders was clearly a politically correct lie that he threw out to distract from his own liberal record.

I'll ask you point blank: As a Christian first you have no issue with Cruz having a campaign fundraising event at the home of two gay libertarians?

Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee's house, and sat down to eat.

In the video clip Trump repeatedly said the reason that he was pro choice and pro gay rights was that he grew up and worked in New York city. The clear implication of what he was telling Russert was that if you are from Manhattan you have socially liberal values. For Trump to now attack Cruz for using Trump’s own words against him is the height of hypocrisy and political correctness. Apparently according to some Trump supporters we should attack all parts of the liberal establishment but we dare not say one thing about the epicenter of the liberal movement in America - New York City.

Don’t forget those gay businessmen that are attracted to Cruz for whatever reason.

[Trump] will take over as CEO, and heads will roll, figuratively.

I wish that were true. But government doesn't work that way. It is inefficient by design. And it is next to impossible to use a "You're fired!" management style.

New York values:
1. The inability to abstain from being an
absolute ass.
2. Devoid of moral character, more of a hive mentality controlled by peer pressure and lack of self respect.
3. Having a big mouth and nothing to back it up.
4. Socialism.

Even further than that:
Luke 7:36-50

Jesus goes to the house of the Pharisee, and is washed by a sinful woman. The Pharisee is amazed by Jesus letting this sinful woman touch him, but he turns it around on him saying her sins are forgiven due to her faith in Him.

Does this mean Jesus condoned her lifestyle (likely a whore) and was fine with it? No. But her sins were forgiven.

The same can be said of the homosexual men. Their sins will be forgiven.

Ted Cruz stands firm on his family values. He has a record which proves it.

Donald J. Trump has a record which proves otherwise. In fact, he is on record of stating he is pro-choice, even being fine with partial birth abortion.

How anyone who is fine with doctors sucking the brains out of a babies head as it is being born could possibly be acceptable as a “conservative” candidate is beyond me.

The man is a monster and has no business receiving and ounce of support from and conservative, especially those here on Free Republic.

Do you dispute that fact? Do you dispute any of the simple facts from my post?

Or are you just another "Trump Chump" who attacks the messenger because he doesn't like the message.

FYI, I've never committed adultry. I won't ask for your record, since you seen to be touchy about the subject.

Wow! You really are a nut.

You said:

But then you take offense when I answer your question.

Since you responded to me originally with a snide little comment that ignored my post and simply insulted me, I'm glad that you won't be responding to me any more.

So... you're saying that Trump can't use the excuse of being a New Yorker to explain his lousy personal history?
