It's simple; it was never yours to begin with.
You know the cop will feel bad.
Even though he did what he had to do.. The Police officer will live with this the rest of his life.
Not taking sides in this tragedy but Pennsylvania constables aren’t exactly the police.
why do you say that?
This sounds like a freak accident and it wasn’t the cop’s fault. I’m sure this will eat at him for the rest of his life.
Cops also have the added luxury of being able to empty their magazine and reload. ;-)
:o ;)
The cop did not kill the girl. Her father’s actions killed the girl.
I loathe states that protect deadbeats and squatters.
From personal non felonius, innocent bystander experience, the Pennsylvania State Police are a pile of jack booted moron, official oppression under color of law c*** rags. Delete at your pleasure.
Part of this is today’s “entitlement” attitude. Part of it is the frustration experienced by the lack of opportunity in today’s workplace.
I’m reading an excellent book called “Toxic Charity.” It explains how we are hurting people by just giving to them. First they have gratitude. Then they have an expectation of receiving and finally they feel entitled. It’s a slippery slope to sloth. It’s the story of our government handouts and how they are hurting the people who get addicted to them.
Headline is misleading. The constable killed the girl by accident in the course of a legitimate self-defense shooting (if the news accounts are themselves accurate).
“Accident” would have been if the constable was shooting at another person, missed and hit the young victim.
Some word scrambling on my earlier post.
Should have read:
“Mistake” would have been if the constable was intending to shoot at another person but mistook the young victim as the primary target, though that was still an “accident”.
