There is nothing more dangerous that an old white man when you hurt his old white wife and his young white grandkids.

No harm, no foul. Not racist to defend one's own from harm. There's a saying about TSHTF days, when everything goes to crap, that the sweetest mommy will kill to feed her kids. Or to defend them. Muzzies try to do here what they did in Cologne, people here will go postal on the invaders.

Either the power is on or it isn’t. When it isn’t, everybody relies on the experts to get it back on.

Back in 1989 when the Loma Prieta Earthquake hit the SF Bay Area, our power was off for several days. It's rather unsettling to see no lights on, people wandering in the streets because electric buses and trolleys have no power and are stuck in the streets, and stores can't do business. No signal lights for cars, traffic moving at a snail's pace at every intersection. Panic didn't set in because people knew the power would soon come back.

Another time, we had a severe storm and it took over a week to get our power back on. People were starting to get upset and complained strongly to the utility company to get it fixed. Refrigerated food went bad and was tossed out, people relied on candles for light and their entertainment was non-op. After 7 days the power was back and the near-panic subsided.

When the power is out for 18 months or longer, the landscape will be greatly changed by mob rule because people panic after a week or two of no power. It will be ugly with lots of thievery, killing and mass migrations searching for food and water.

I suspect 18 days is closer than the 18 month deathknell in the public perception.
