I'm thinking of supporting the candidate with the smallest staff ...

I'm not quite so sure Trump would take that as a compliment.

Her only other candidate encounter this season was at the North Haverhill Fair last summer when Lindsey Graham pounced outside the 4-H barn, no doubt with an eye to recruiting her for one of his "rotating first ladies".

Do tell...

This little gem shows why everyone is scared of Trump - even Clintons

The usual GOPe strategy of pre-emptive surrender on every message because they are so scared of the press is a stark contrast to Trump using their sacred cows for a hamburger cookout.

So very long overdue. Even when the pre-emptive surrender strategy manages to eke out a victory ala Bush, the overall effect is still a loss of ground, a further march to the left in culture and politics. Trump has probably accomplished more real gains with his campaign than Bush did in eight years as president.

Trump is also brilliant about how he is conducting this campaign. While Cruz and the other candidates are knee deep in Iowa, Trump is everywhere else stumping where the other candidates are not.

Trump very clearly has hired the best of the best to get him winning in Iowa and as a master executive he is letting them do their jobs. That is the problem with senators running for the presidency. They are not executives and simply do not know how to manage and delegate.

Trump knows through decades of experience that he cannot do everything himself. It is impossible. Senators micro manage and think they have to do it all themselves.

So while the other candidates are in Iowa micro managing, Trump is already in other states getting the business. He has such massive confidence in himself and his staff that he is letting them do whatever is necessary to win Iowa.

Trump is simply an amazing man that is being so terribly underestimated at every turn that his opposition is practically handing him the presidency.

Thanks for the ping. Good read and I love Mark Steyn. First hand account from someone who has seen it all. I do get Trump's appeal. He does it his way, it's natural, it's funny, it breaks all the rules. And he pokes the liberals in the eye constantly, which is simply great fun and they've had it coming for a long time.

I do get tired of the 'he's the ONLY one' and when his supporters even attempt to compare his policies/conservatism to Cruz. Cruz is a conservative's policy dream and Trump is a leader and showman who beats the dummies at their own game. Fine. Best man win. I stay away from the threads where Trump supporters criticize Ted Cruz' conservatism (unbelievable) or when they try to make Trump out to be a conservative like or better than Cruz (laughable if it weren't so pervasive).

Looks like Mark has read the pulse of the Trump Supporters and is coming around.

When Trump is sworn in next year, his pundit haters in the beltway will be shunned and ignored by the people they need to keep their own ratings alive. Those who have hitched their future to hating Trump, will be discarded like dirty socks and underwear with holes in them.

Faux news might hire them as the official Trump haters for their so called fair and balanced bs, posing as news.

Steyn is funny.

A bossy girl of vaguely sapphic mien led us all in a "Black Lives Matter! Black Lives Matter!" chant, which is pretty funny on a street that's 99.99999999999 per cent white. If black lives matter that much, you'd think they could have bussed one in.

Lol

Thanks for the ping to this great Steyn article, on the Trump phenom.

Loved this....

The reserved seating at the front of these events is usually held for the big donors. Trump has no donors, so there are no money guys who’ve paid for access hogging the best seats. Instead, they were taken by folks who’d been backing him the longest. One couple were there because they were tootling along with a Trump sticker on the back of the car (something of a rare sight in Vermont) and at the stop sign an appreciative campaign staffer behind had leaped out and offered them VIP tickets. The only real VIP in the seats was a former finalist at “The Apprentice” whom Trump had asked along.

I am so sick of those....if you donate $5K - $10K, you’ll be seated in the VIP section...and get your picture taken with _________________.

Trump’s style is so organic and so refreshing :)

What an article worth reading

So, for all the post-2012 talk about outreach to Hispanics and gays, in the end the GOP would rather have the old, safe, depressed-turnout model than a bunch of first-time Republican voters coming in and monkeying about with their racket.

The headline in Friday’s local paper read: “BURLINGTON TRUMPED”. That’s what his fans liked. In the liberal heart of a liberal state, the supporters streaming out of the Flynn Theatre, waving genially to the social-justice doofuses across the way, couldn’t recall a night like it. Not in Vermont. In New Hampshire, sure. In South Carolina. But not in Vermont. It felt good to be taking it to the other side’s turf. And they’d like a lot more of it between now and November.
