There are only two areas that are liberal.
SF Sacramento coridior and the city of LA, redistricting has caused a shift stacking with Libs.
Just take those outa the state, all would be good.

"do you know that for sure?"

All of these counties vote Republican.

90+% White, rural. Farming, ranching, timber, fishing and mining have been their livelihood for the 150+ years they've been here. Even the dope growers are rednecks.

It's not Napa.

SCOTUS is reviewing the ‘one man, one vote’ for the purpose of reapportionment of voting districts. The issue at suit is whether the districts based on population should only count registered voters, or the general population. If they go with the registered voters, the cities stand to lose a lot of political influence.

Take out the Bay Area and LA and you have a pretty conservative state.

I’m from California, so I know the politics in the rural areas. My question though was on your comment that the Supes of each of these counties have actually voted to secede, or at least to pursue it. That would surprise me quite a bit. Are you assuming that, or have you seen that reported somewhere else?

No way we’re gonna be allowed to break off and form Jefferson.

Only when things reach a boiling point will we just tell them we’re breaking off and if they want to stop us, then come try.

Awesome turnout. It was cold, rainy and windy but spirits couldn't have been higher.

This was just a first step. Kind of like Moses going to Pharoah for the first time.

We plan on being a pain in the rear until we get the State of Jefferson.

Thanks of posting.

An identical problem exists in New York. Hopefully Upstate New Yorkers will see the success of Jefferson and take action to saw themselves away from the misrepresentation they get from Downstate New Yorkers from NYC and Long Island.

How funny. I am from the great state of The Jeffersons. State motto is “DY-NO-MITE!”

I was thinking Puerto Rico, definitely a blue state. Jefferson could balance that by being red. Once Puerto Rico enters the union, it and California will be majority Spanish speaking states. Retrocede DC back to Maryland. No need to be a state.
