No. That is what his people said as soon as they were called out on the ad. It’s not at all what was said in the ad nor was it what was intended. It’s an ad that has a mistake in it. They screwed up. Did trump personally do it? No, but he approved it.
To say, “Gotcha” because they are suddenly having to run defense is laughable.

The “pants on fire” designation is stupid. Everyone knows illegals are flooding across the border with Mexico.
And it’s scary that they’re actually showing islamists....one of the great worries about our border.
No where does the ad say it’s the United States southern border. It’s generic. It says “he will stop illegal immigration by building a wall on our Southern border and make Mexico pay for it”. The ad is implied to mean this is exactly what our illegal immigration will come to if a wall is not built. It’s a great ad and only those not supporting Trump could find fault with it. The democrats hate it.

About ten years ago, and that is close, since the last time I watched evening news broadcasts, Dan Rather was giving out the news. ABC did a special on illegal immigration, and they showed a night vision camera on the Arizona border — a full scale invasion of illegals was going on. The reporter said it went on like that every night. I was shocked that ABC would show anything like that; it was more severe than what is shown in Trump’s ad.
Yes. I’ve read this many, many times on this thread. You are right. No-one actually says, “look! It’s the American Border!!!! Look at those illegal aliens running into the US!”!!!
Instead, they show people running across a hill and talk about illegal aliens coming over our borders and how a wall will be built to keep them out. Done completely on purpose. It was put there to show all the aliens comings across the border but they cheaped out and showed something from another country. Oops. Now they are playing defense. The criminal illegal alien border law violators would almost never run across the border in a mob as is depicted in the ad.
They run across the border in neat, orderly single file groups of 10 to 40 at a time.

Faux News showed this for free several times today, and Trump didn't pay a penny for their free reruns of this ad.
Funny thing is, every new Presidential ad I saw today were all EXCELLENT pro-Trump ads....and one was even for another candidate :)
This is basically Trump media manipulation 101. They knew all along it was Morocco. The media figures it out, liberal heads explode. They raise a stink and gives Trump 10x the publicity and airtime the commercial will ever get.
No one who is a Trump supporter cares if the images are Morocco or Mexico. They care about the underlying message that he’s going to do something about the illegal invasion.
