Was Trump lying on July 24th 2015 when his position for non criminal illegals was NOT deportation but instead an in place legalization amnesty based on merit?

I’m a Trump supporter who will vote for Cruz if he is the nominee.

I think the snarky comments are due to the fact that Cruz seems to counting on the Christian vote solely for the reason that he is a good Christian instead of his plans for (pardon the pun) making America great again.

But, I’ll still gladly vote for him over Hillary or Bernie. I think 99% of Trump supporters will do the same. Too bad that many Cruz fans state that they will not reciprocate. If Hillary wins because of petulant little turds like that, then America deserves the fisting that she’ll give us.

The problem is a number of populist folks masquerading as conservatives are getting more and more vocal as they run out of ways of defending the actions of their weak candidate.

So you get this obvious shift on the site from conservative values and ideals to mind numb robots screaming if you dare oppose the perceived most popular candidate.

What is really sad is, some folks who have been here for quite literally a decade and a half are turning a blinds eye to their principles in order to support the populist candidate, regardless of his record or even socialistic rhetoric which has been exhibited on this very campaign trail.

I have been here for a very long time, lurking since almost the beginning, have been on numerous Freeps from Crawford to Washington, DC, yet I get vilified and have my conservatism/Christianity/patriotism called into question for even thinking of not running off the cliff like the rest of the lemmings.

It is astounding what has happened. I just pray that when voters get in that booth, they cannot possibly bring themselves to vote for a narcissist like Trump. Our country needs a proven leader right now, not the next reality star reject.

false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders Mark 13:22

Weren't you the one complaining because Cruz was "using Christianity"?

incidentally 6 months ago Cruz was selling us down the drain (500% incr. H-1B, trashed the Constitution on the Corker Bill).

Trump was recently tweeting that he wants foreign students who graduate to be permanently legalized. In fact that's the same position that Obama takes.

You with your concerns about temporary H1B's, must really be concerned about Trump's permanent foreign student legalization.

And I can really imagine your concern over Trump's repeated claims that after deportations he wants to expedite the good ones back in for a legalization.

Right???

Oh please. He said it openly in one of the debates that top foreign students in the best schools should be allowed to stay. Name me any candidate that disagrees with a hand full of students that meet that requirement. I heard that comment myself. You're contorting yourself into a pretzel. And sure, people come back legally... what is wrong with that - even Muslims after a moratorium. Say there duder, got anything better than this?

Besides, is any of this Cruz's 500% increase? And, again, what about Cruz voting to reduce the Iran treaty vote to a simple majority so they could "study it" and "slow Obama down" - now I ask you... who is really dumb enough to believe that swill.

Never heard that and I have heard all of his speeches and seen the debates. I suggest you post a source and spare us a twisted newsie statement. Countless times have heard him address the issue. So, post a link to a video or show on his website where he offered any type of amnesty.

dittos.

When Trump declared he has strong support among Christians and waved the bible not one criticism from his supporters here. The inconsistent reactions are kinda sad given the classy way Cruz has treated Trump

Oh please yourself. Trump gave no such limitations when he tweeted the following..."When foreigners attend our great colleges & want to stay in the U.S., they should not be thrown out of our country."

You're contorting yourself into a pretzel. And sure, people come back legally... what is wrong with that - even Muslims after a moratorium. Say there duder, got anything better than this?

Now your contorting yourself into a pretzel.

Trump repeatedly says that he wants to "expedite" the "good ones" back. Nevermind the fact that we have existing quota lines with people waiting on them for 5 to 10 years.

Sure it's okay if they come back. But they need to go to the back of the quota line! They should not be expedited back.

Again, if you are worried about H1Bs, then you should really be worried about a touch back amnesty and a legalization of foreign student grads.

The “Trumpers” are like the Ron Paul cult following. The majority of Trump supports were Ron Paul supporters.

Don't even try to hide behind Jim Robinson when you post anti-Christian bigotry, Mr Trumpbot. Ted Cruz has consistently won every single poll on who has the most support on this site. This is a conservative, Christian site. The Trumpbots are rapidly showing their true anti-Christian bigotry every single angle day in their increasingly bizarre attacks on Ted Cruz for his Christian faith.

I don't judge a candidate by his supporters

I do. Supporters of Bernie Sanders for example are for the most part, loony left crazies, communists, anarchists, gay marriage supporters, abortion supporters, anti-aging and all the otge left I e cause supporters. It goes with the territory.

and I know the exact date when I was saved. My salvation is secure.

So you claim. I don't know that. Certainly, you don't behave like any real Christian I know.

Your comments are not Christ-like, but since you made them I gather shame is beyond you.

My comments are just fine. The crazy Trumpbots have been attacking Ted Cruz for his Christian faith, using increasingly Obama-like, far left talking points

Cruz is running a political campaign using Christianity - That in and of its self lacks doctrine.

This country is a Christian country founded on Judeo-Christian principles.
https://www.nccs.net/2003-05-judeo-christian-roots-of-americas-founding-ideals-and-documents.php

It's refreshing to have a candidate who openly and proudly professes his love of Christ.

I don't recall you getting whiny when Trump was waving his Bible about at campaign stops in Iowa, making himself out to be a devout Christian in order to win the evangelical vote, even while being unable to answer questions asked him about the Bible.
