They would just die, such is their body’s dependence upon it. Believe it or not, I’ve seen some of these horrible cases go from that state into functioning, productive humans. It’s nothing short of a miracle. Almost without exception, it is because they turn their life over to God.

Yep...Ol uncle Sugar gotta save us from ourselves.

Yep Ol uncle is the root of the problem. Let’s see, last time we had a huge heroin epidemic was during the Vietnam war. Now the Afghan/Iraq war. Both countries rich in poppys. Sad isn’t it. As one military man said to me “you would be surprised what’s in those body bags”. And now with weed being legal in so many states, the Mexican cartels are switching to more poppy growth.

And so everyone know, heroin use affects us all. It’s easy to say “let them die” but that’s not what happens. Huge uptick in crime, both burglaries and armed robberies. An addict does not care what they must do or who they hurt for that next fix. No drug abuse programs offered in the schools anymore. No money for that. No war on drugs. Our Country is welcoming the “zombie apocalypse” with open arms.

I that a state law? I buy two every spring. One for inflating the wifes strawberries with vodka and the other for the tackle box to inflate worms with air.

“What I do not understand is why the dealers are under orders to recruit and sell to only whites...”

Perhaps the dealers are told to target a demographic most likely to have a good store of cash and assets to drain? Or it is far more sinister.

Once you become addicted to a narcotic like heroin, your life is basically over. You become a slave to the needle. Even if you manage kick the habit, your health will never be the same.

Most of us heard that Natalie Cole died the other day. What many don't know is that she was in poor health due to a heroin addiction that she kicked many years ago. However, her health continued to decline, she had to get kidney transplants and ended up dying of heart failure, which was the final result of her heroin addiction.

Now I assume that Natalie had the money to fund her health care so that fact that she destroyed her life with heroin probably did not affect my wallet. However, there are millions of people who do not have the money to pay for all this expensive health care on account of their drug addictions. We end up paying that money.

I've lived a clean life and always had a job to pay my own way. However, nearly half my income now goes to the government so that they can pay welfare, food stamps and health care for millions of people who choose not to work but to sit around getting high.

I am considered not a compassionate person because I dare to bring this subject up from time to time.

You’re right that it appears to be regulated state by state, and not all states require a prescription.

My mother was diabetic and I remember she carried her prescription around with her in her purse, in case anyone questioned why she was carrying needles. Rest her soul, no one would have mistaken her for a drug dealer or heroin addict, but it always impressed me as a infuriating example of how government rules inconvenienced the conscientious people who tried to follow them, while doing nothing to reduce drug abuse, especially after they started free needle distribution to addicts.

It varies by state. Some don’t allow it at all. Some allow a limited number to be sold at a time. Some don’t have any restrictions. I buy insulin syringes for my diabetic cat with no scrip and no problem. My friend in a neighboring state can only buy them 10 at a time. She stocks up when she visits me.

Let me explain it for you. First comes the legalize crowd. Easy step in our decadent, slothful world.

But, of course, not everybody gets his fair share. In comes the government, another easy step in our decadent, slothful world. The government makes sure everyone gets free heroin.

I am not sure. The material I read did not specify. Seems though they would sell to anybody. And yet they don’t.

After a tough day of legislating, politicians pat each other on the back and gather at the local pub to suck down a few scotch and sodas.

Alcohol has killed more people than all other drugs...COMBINED.

Hypocrites.
