If his Ginorabus bill had simply left the funding out, this easy-to-veto just-for-show bill would be unnecessary. Ryan thinks he'll be crowing about the veto. Wouldn't it have been more instructive to have made the Prince veto the entire budget just to give millions in tax dollars to a private company?

PP’s eligibility is within the law, for its “non abortion” services. The live issue here is something that almost nobody mentions (in fact I’ve only seen myself do it) i.e. NAME EQUITY. These ghouls get to launder their abortion side image in the good will from their “non abortion” services which have an almost fanatical following.
Doing something about that (short of abolishing the entire federal subsidy model) would look like requiring any subsidized services to carry on under a name that has no visible relationship to PP. I think this could get by the USSC, if just barely.
When it mattered, when they had some leverage, they wouldn’t even dare to reduce PP’s budget by 10% as a symbolic move. Oh no, let’s wait a couple of weeks and have yet another show vote.
