For every open door, how many doors are closed due to her membership in a sorority? As an employer of many, I see that as a big negative.
Her sorority raised closed to $100,000 this year for several charities. She interned with our Rep Governor, has to maintain at least a 3.0 plus participate in sorority events. I could go on and on. Maybe you need to look into what it takes to get into some sororities and the quality of girls before making a general statement.

The last sorority person I hired couldn’t write a sentence to save her life and had great difficulty thinking outside the box, despite her 3.2 GPA. I later learned that her sorority had a file drawer of mid-term and final exams from professors who were too lazy to periodically change the exam, and the sisters encouraged the new recruits to take these classes to boost their GPA. No thank you.
OK then...all sorority girls are idiots LOL. Maybe you bear some responsiblity for hiring her without fully vetting her.

Don’t be fooled by pretensions. Sororities can be extremely nasty, crude and primitive places. One sorority president wrote an extremely course, crude, gross, and obscene letter to her “sisters” that was so offensive that a comedian used it in a recital. This is that recital. DEFINITELY NSFW.

I have had similar situations over the years. Was elected
to a position in school. Well, the hatefulness started right
away from the “in” crowd (which I wasn’t in). I was treated
horribly all that year; until I finally let them goad me
into “running away from home”. Well. THAT gave them even
more ammunition.
My husband was from the same town and had been in the sort
of “in” crowd; but his group was very different from the
tone deaf bunch I graduated with.
Husband pressured me to go to all the stuff “my” class
threw for 40 years. At that point, due to just ongoing
crap, I called a halt. (They had planned a “cruise” back
when the hurricane hit New Orleans. The cruise ships were
then commandeered for housing the suddenly homeless. -
The person who had been “planning” the cruise would not
let go in the determination to “go on a class cruise”.
I just wrote back and told them to face REALITY. Now,
I’m totally unhooked and unpressured. - About time!!
My daughter’s sorority is anything but nasty and crude and they have over 250 sisters. Lots of lovely girls who are intelligent,driven,sweet and conservative. Just hate to see so many freeper right off sororities because of a few examples. Maybe freepers need to open their minds to what is possible and don’t just follow along with haters.

There is general agreement that there is only a tiny minority of bad apples out there. But the bad ones make up for it with notoriety, and being able to single-handedly destroy years or decades of goodwill. And even after booting out the worst of the lot, they are haunted by their behavior for a very long time.
