Sheesh. Don’t be absurd. The state has to maintain a basic infrastructure to keep from going bankrupt. Would you keep spending money like there was no tomorrow if you lost your only source of income? Well that was basically the problem for the state. Too drastic of a tax cut and the feds screwed us over on loss of oil income. Jindal didn’t compensate and trim the fat until it became a crisis. By then it was too late to make reasonable spending adjustments.
