"Conservatives" that yearn for Cruz's narrow conservatism is a small portion of the population. Even here on FR, it is a small percent. Cruz turns off most people and is seen by many as preachy. This is personality as well. He lacks it. Look at the stories of his past, look at his relationship in the Senate. He does not play well. People do not find him likable. Who do you want to get together with? Cruz or Trump? Trump wins becomes he's a character. Cruz will bore you to death or get holier than thou.

As well, Cruz plays politics with answers, argues the definition of is regarding deporting illegals. He refuses to say deport illegals. Trump just says it. Cruz defends his votes as politics and not his real positions--TPA, Iran, and no immigration. And we are left with wondering what his real position is. He's a lawyer and represents his clients. Does that well. He backers own him so he will represent them before the common citizen. Just the facts. Money talks.

Americans are tired of politicians, of lawyers, of PC. Cruz, even as a conservative, is all that. Yes, outsider, but still part of the problem. Trump is pure outsider, saying what we want to hear. People can argue if he can do all he says, if it is all 100% accurate, but voters simply do not care. We want the person who tells us what we yearn for, warts and all.

Anyway, that is why I think we have a choice of go with GOPe (anyone but Cruz or Trump)--and lose; go with Cruz and lose; or go with Trump and win. Trump is perfect person so-to-speak at the right time.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I'm also concerned with Cruz having more loyalty to his financial backers than the American people. But until Trump came along, it was that way with every politician and we simply had the choice of the lesser evil.

Also, while Cruz has near universal appeal among conservative purists, with them, Cruz is simply preaching to the choir as opposed to winning new converts to the conservative cause.

To an extent, Trump has the same problem - he still needs to win others over. But his demographic base has been demonstrated to be much wider than that of Cruz. I think he is closer than Cruz in building the kind of majority that will swamp Shrillary and the Democrats next November. That would include the "Reagan Democrats", the blue collar men, and the married women, who normally vote Democrat but can all be won over to the Republican side in a general election setting.

He’s much closer than Cruz. They say ‘Cruz or lose’. I don’t like losing. Trump wins over and expanding the base around your neck of the woods.

"She's a liar, and the last person she wants to run against is me" Trump said. (TRUE!!!)

Hillary and her witches coven know this....... Her Heinous is going to wish she never ran for the Presidency. She will blame Bill (surprise) plus this greedy, grifting ol hag got in too deep with the Clinton Crime Family Foundation. Meaning she had to run for Foundation reasons....for all the billionaire contributors greasing their (Bill and Hill) palms expect something in return

Trump is also doing well with blacks and Hispanics and this will continue on into November 2016. They will easily vote for Trump over Hillary. Matter of fact Rush was talking about this today but I knew this months ago.

Note the stark contrast with the 2008 Obama coverage. The crowds... the fainting... the ‘he gonna pay my mortgage’ nonsense. For Trump they only cover the protester. Total spin.

True but Trump has that same kind of crowd pulling power Obama did in 2007-2008. Trump is our own Obama and will steal millions of lo-information voters from the Democrats. Trump is our hope and change candidate who beat the Democrats.

Oh I agree. Trump will steal millions of white working class and black votes who have seen the ‘hope and change’ turn into 50% black unemployment rates in the major cities.

Donald Trump is honest and will try to do the best he can when elected President. I support him 100%

But as far as Dems go they are about to find that “hope and change” can and will be used against them by Trump to win!! Hillary who looks old and worn out will lose. I have no sympathy because she is a long time congenital liar and as bad a commie sellout as Obama.

‘’Hillary and her witches coven know this...’’

And we know that they’re hovering around the caldron conjuring up a plan to see that that Trump will not exist on planet Earth six months from now. I worry every day about his safety knowing the history of the Clintons’ evil ways.

A few hours ago some FReeper, “editor-surveyor”, posted to me that “Trump’s rallies are 90% union goons bused in.” How very odd — and delusional.

“Prejudice may not make America great”, but a bit of discriminating behavior and decision-making will! That is, decent people should discriminate against people who want to “fundamentally change” our republic.

Millions of union guys like Trumps style and his anti "free trade" stance and will be voting for him. Otherwise that “editor-surveyor" post was ridiculous hyperbole.
