Could this just be concern trollery in the bigger picture, however. The big messy world out there, which actually ends up voting if it cares, isn’t like this little perpetual teapot tempest. They don’t think in a universe whose poles are “Conservative” and “Liberal” as is so smugly done here.
They sense a universe that is more organized along the lines of “Love” and “Hate.” And if you get close enough to the “Love” pole, you will be forgiven a lot.
“Ethanol is more polluting than oil, is harmful to automotive engines, is more expensive than American oil, and drives up the price of corn. It amounts to a subsidy to corn-growers.”
TOTAL BS. The same old uninformed mantra of all the ethanol haters. Do some research and get informed. Brazil uses a much higher blend of ethanol in their fuel. Same make and model vehicles that are driven here. Nope, not harmful to automotive engines, especially 2001 and newer. Drives up corn prices?! Have you looked at corn prices lately? Under $4 a bushel. How is that a so called “subsidy” to farmers? Don’t just buy some people say, learn the truth.
It looks like a context thing, where Trump had in mind some kind of supplementary safety net system, not an all embracing monster like Obamacare.
If so — while yes it is still socialist, yes it also moves away from where Obamacare is back towards a traditional free market system.
We can do an experiment. End the mandate and see if ethanol survives in the marketplace.
I guess Levin is now a “dirty GOPe Bush lover,” huh?
If Mark Levin says it, then I believe it. At this point in my life, Levin, Limbaugh, and Hannity virtually define my worldview. I also agree that there is an undisciplined, erratic quality about Donald Trump. However, when surrounded by armies of crazy Liberals and crazy Muslims, when being overrun by hordes of immigrants from hostile, alien cultures, and when losing the battle to these pernicious elements, what one hopes for is a BERSERKER. If the times in which we live were more stable and settled, then I would probably prefer a more cerebral, disciplined approach to public affairs. But when the barbarians are literally at the gate, and our existing leaders are acquiescing in our own destruction, what we need is an avenging angel who is willing to engage our enemies on their own terms. Once Donald Trump becomes aware of the problems with his statements as outlined by Mark Levin, I’ll bet he backpedals on those specific issues, and I hope he does.
