Like many commentators have pointed out, there isn’t a strong correlation between being on the list and killing someone. In fact, the only person on the list who is known to have killed someone is Senator Ted Kennedy.
"Lori Berenson arrives at Newark Airport with her son Salvador Apari for a trip to see family in New York in 2011. Peruvian authorities subsequently passed a law barring foreigners convicted of terrorism-related crimes from travel."
America isn’t what it once was, that’s for sure.
Yes, the threat of Global Warming must be over if Hades has frozen over and the LA Times get’s something right for once.
Gun purchase registration has been in effect since the 1970’s:
There’s heightened effort to digitize all firearms purchases, old and new.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. â Millions of firearm purchase records, potentially critical to tracing guns used in crimes, languish here in scores of cardboard boxes and shipping containers awaiting processing at the government’s National Tracing Center.
Officials estimate that 1.6 million paper documents and other records arrive every month from defunct firearm dealers who are required to ship their business records, some barely discernible, to this Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives facility for eventual inclusion in a digital repository.
Up to 50 times a day, document examiners comb through everything from 1970s-era microfilm to hand-written cards in an effort to satisfy sometimes urgent pleas for assistance from law enforcement agencies from across the country, ATF information specialist Neil Troppman said.
The avalanche of records is a little-noticed yet critical component of a newly escalating firearms debate that underscores both the strained operations of the federal government’s chief gun enforcement agency and the strength of a powerful gun rights lobby intent on preventing the creation of a national gun registry, law enforcement analysts say.
Yes, but that’s water under the bridge..... /s
Haven’t they been also going into FFL’s and copying their records?
Rest assured their next step will be formal Registration efforts once they’ve been able to cow the GOP into swallowing the Intergalactic Background Check BS.
People don’t realize how close we are to losing our rights....
The No-Fly list is continuing to be challenged in court.
Here are steps recommended by the ACLU (Frenemy of conservatives)

Don’t give up.
Everyone who resists tyranny is a huge help to maintaining our freedom.
Fight it!
The no-fly list is secretive and does not include due process.
Using it to limit rights is, on its face, unconstitutional. Flying is not a declared “constitutional” right. Owning a firearm is.
The whole idea sounds good, but it is NEVER going to happen.
Bingo! Into the millions!!
“They shouldnât use Teddy Kennedy as an example, after all, he killed one more person than either one of these terrorists had before their rampage a few days ago.”
Agree...perhaps put him on the No-Drive List. Would be much safer for young women.
