The part I don’t get is how she was able to get a green card after only one year. I have a colleague who has been trying to get a green card for eight years now. He is an engineer - a damn good one. Yet he remains a hostage to his employer.

An knifeman slashed a man’s throat at a busy London tube station shouting ‘this is for Syria’ before being Tasered by the police.
The suspect attacked the man at Leytonstone underground station shortly after 7pm.
Eyewitnesses claimed the man shouted ‘this is for Syria’ and ‘all of your blood will be spilled’ during the terrifying attack.

There’s just this little factor that the Jews trying to escape Nazi extermination plans did not have a history of cutting off people’s heads, stabbing, shooting, gassing, bombing, honor killing, stoning, hanging, burning, drowning and shooting people in Germany or their other host countries. Likewise, the Jews did not have millions of fantastically wealthy co-religionists of the same ethnicity in neighboring countries that could have easily taken them in.
