To put it bluntly, there is no financial or political force in D.C. remotely comparable to the Legion of Doom - no one whose interest in true reform is as potent as those interested in expanding and loosening these already-corrupt programs.

This explains so much about the current state of our government. And why things opposed by large majorities of voters like "comprehensive immigration reform" and Obamacare are imposed regardless. I'll definitely be getting this book, thanks for posting.
