Seems like back in the day old pro’s got into bars and restaurants either owning or lending their name to the place. I think most or all failed.
We used to Drive up to Madtown and get blotto at Fuzzy’s Left Gaurd. He had one in Janesville but no one went their.
“No drinking on a Friday night in a Bye week?”
-—No, especially when you have been in REHAB for drinking.
He gave it up, so maybe we put him on special teams.
And when he went to Houston they named a soft drink for him.
Stablers “snake juice”.
He said it tasted about as good as it sounds.
I wonder if any old Houston residents remember it?
One other thing he loved. Winners of the Miss Alabama contest.
He dated them as fast as they could crown them.
It was one of the unofficial duties of the contest winners. Attend grand openings, speak at dinners and rallies and date Kenny Stabler.
