My understanding is the early voting (Nov.7-14) favored Edwards? Of course that is subject to many variables. Certainly hope Vitter can pull this out, in spite of polls and the “baggage.”
Because he isn’t smart enough to know that. Also, his name should be Odummy instead of Obammy.
“Can’t trust polls... “
Exactly! Proof: The Kentucky governor’s race. Also, in the last LA US Senate race, the “news” media was breathlessly reporting that the polls showed that it was “too close to call” between David Cassidy (R) the challenger and the longtime incumbent Mary Landrieu (D). Cassidy won the election with about 55% of the vote total vs. 45%.
If Vitter wins, does he appoint his own successor?
Hope lots of conservative Louisiana voters took the time to go to the polls today before heading to the LSU/Ole Miss game in Oxford.
I think the issue will be a more hot button issue against the refugees and thus more R voters will come out. We will know soon.
I sure hope so. I’d love to see Louisiana “send a message” to the Kenyan and his ‘RAT comrades.
Edwin Edwards says they are distantly related.
Yes. Vitter was asked about that in a debate. He said it was due to a big get out the vote push by the Dems. But that was before the massive Paris terror attacks and Edwards refugee flip flop...
I think the good folks of Louisiana are as fed up, pissed off as most decent people are nation wide. Hopefully Vitter gets the nod.
Thanks, I didn’t know of a relationship; Edwin Edwards came from Marksville; these Edwardses from Tangipahoa Parish.
Bttt
I don’t know about who’d make the appointment, probably made by Jindal. But I am trying to figure out why Vitter would want to be LA governor vs. U.S. Senator from LA?
Vitter can time his resignation so he doesn’t leave until right before he’s going to be governor.
Who would be the likely appointee?
Would you rather live in Baton Rouge or Washington D.C.?
btt.
Louisiana Governor results will posted here on Secretary of State website as received.

Polls close at 8 PM local time and we should have some
early voting totals shortly there after.
Thanks
We have about 30 minutes to go as LA is on CST.
