Any candidate supporting the expansion of the scam that is the H1B visa will not get my vote period, no matter who they are.
This program is a wholesale fraud and is to skilled workers what illegal immigration is to unskilled.
Go Cruz! I’m already fed up with GOP Chamber of Commerce shills smearing American tech workers.
And it’s gonna get worse. Americans shilling for foreigner workers can go live with them.
To h*** with Obama and his GOP-e butt buddies!
Well said ... I hope that Senator Ted Cruz reads and fully understands our grave concerns on this matter ...
You do know don’t you, that Cruz is for increasing the H-1B visas to hire foreign workers? What’s this Go Cruz stuff?
What are you a campaign staffer? Geesh!
I think he is stuck.
I don’t know his personal views, but it seems his outward political views are governed by the puppet masters.
It’s a real problem that may be broken and solved when Trump finally breaks the dam.
“You do know donât you, that Cruz is for increasing the H-1B visas to hire foreign workers?”
Sadly this is true. I was the one who early on coined the phrase “Ted Cruz Accept no substitute” then Cruz voted for TPA, and the Corker Bill. Ted Cruz has no plan to deport the millions of illegals in the USA. His plan is to let them all stay and legalize them but no citizenship. We all know how that will work out. I had to look at his judgment because I fully expect Cruz to back the TPP. Its a problem that the Cruz at all cost supporters seem able to ignore. IMO Ted is stuck at about 7% in most polls because of these types of stances.
He should drop that, he does not need to back that. You can talk to people who have really been hurt by this. As one person told me, his wife is one of the best out there but the employers go for one of these others.
=====================================
Republican votes for this atrocity are even more horrendous since Obama calls the TPP deal "central" to his second-term legacy, as well as to his "foreign policy" and "economic" agendas.
The text of the crucial vote which gave Boobamba fast-track authority on TPP was so classified, not even members of Congress were allowed to read it. Republicans voting in secret to insure Obama's legacy should be relegated to the trash heap of history---not running for president.
==================================================
PONDER THIS--TPP is best understood against the backdrop
of Obama's post-presidential get-rich-quick foundation plans.
NOW ISN'T THIS INTERESTING? few, if any, of the RCEP and
TPP countries contributed to the buck-raking Clinton Foundation.
Looks like the Clintons and Obama divvied up the globe so that each have their own countries in order to collect big buck get-rich-quick foundation donations, honorarium, cosultancies, and int'l insider business deals.
======================================
THE FACTS ARE THESE Obama's trade deal giveaway is a huge scam...best examined against the backdrop of Obama's two tax-exempt foundations (two-that we know of). Obama's priming the pump for donations to his two Foundations.
All of Obama's thinly-veiled actions....
(1) promoting TPA and TPP,
(2) his immigration suck-ups
(3) his non-action WRT ISIS, IRAN....
.....are best understood against the backdrop of Obama's future get-rich-quick plans as an ex-president----more specifically, his two get-rich-quick Foundations (two foundations that we know of).
All these entities control billions of dollars---and Obama is lying-in-wait for his share: foreign donations, lucrative insider trade deals from untapped resources, energy deals, telecom deals, arms sales, consultancies, million dollar honorarium...and so on and so forth.

WIKI REFERENCE: Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is a proposed free trade agreement (FTA) between the ten member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) (Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) and the six states with which ASEAN has existing FTAs (Australia, China, India, Japan, South Korea and New Zealand). RCEP negotiations were formally launched in November 2012 at the ASEAN Summit in Cambodia.
Trump used to be a New York lefty, or some here (yourself perhaps) might say he still is a NY Republican, at best.
Trump has changed and he is still changing.
Politicians take a lot of flak because they seem to change their positions to please voters.
Of course they do. Their beliefs are shades of gray that change from day-to-day.
Denying that is as naive as saying, “Elections! They’re just `popularity contests’ ... “.
The body politic and the candidates have a symbiotic relationship. They change and we change.
Like Trump, Cruz is changing from day-to-day.
“What’s this Go Cruz stuff?”
Let me put it another way:
`Go Ted Cruz!’
Here are the cosponsors of I-squared. Anyone see Cruz on the list? Not me. Mike Lee curiously is.

He may be stuck politically on that, but its a non starter for me... I am sick and tired of the flagrant lies around this program. H1B’s intent is to allow a foreigner to take a job when no american can be found able to do it... there is ZERO reason that folks on H1B visas are writing java, html, c, c#, working in QA or as system or network administrators... NONE.
THere is no shortage of domestic talent. This law is violated wholesale, and no one does a damn thing about it.
I was feeling sorry for Cruz.
And us, we are the big losers here, cuz Cruz is a good, smart, guy.
HB-1 isn’t the big issue for me, but yes, you’re right, I can’t imagine him breaking the bonds that tie him into a non viable candidate.
That’s my story, and I’m stickin’ to it
BUMP! BUMP! BUMP!
I work in IT, I have been watching the flagrant violation and lies about H1B grow and grow over my career, its ludicrous the claims that these politicians make trying to justify this program.
The law as written is fine, but the law as written is ignored wholesale. The claim that they need that to keep the Harvard grads, is nonsense, that’s not what the program is for! H1B is purely for being able to hire a foreigner when you cannot find a qualified US candidate to do the job, it is not intended or written so you hold onto top talent that happens to be foreign born.
The politicians lie, the business folks lie, everyone lies about and abuses this program its a disgrace and no one who supports it will get my vote. I like Cruz, but if he supports anything but contraction of the H1B program he won’t get my vote.
“H1B is purely for being able to hire a foreigner when you cannot find a qualified US candidate to do the job, it is not intended or written so you hold onto top talent that happens to be foreign born.”
And believe most of them are not remotely top tier talent either.
Right. They are here to be given something, not to earn it.
H-1B - Kill it!
