Right, he’d be the the lone loser in the family. Thing is, he was a good governor of Florida, supposedly.
But Florida must have been hard up for governors to pick him.

If Florida did not have Disney World and the Snowbirds from the North who they screw over in every way they can think of to make a buck, Florida would be left with swamps, alligators, you name it——remember, Florida was the home of the ‘hanging chads’——so, picking a Bush to lead them as Governer was a no brainer—maybe name recognition helped there but not on a national basis-—it is easy to see he is not able to articulate when facing those who have a cause to defend at the debates

Peggy was a Reaganite. I seem to recall that she got angry at GWB when she wasn’t offered a job or advisory role in his administration.
