I’ve seen a couple of these on the road and thought it would be a neat trick to get one and swap out the electric for a ‘real’ engine. Maybe one of those weird cable or internet car shows would do it.

That's the deal-killer for me with any current all-electric car, Tesla included. I can believe that it might have appeal as an urban commuter car but not for us as an every-day, all-purpose ride.
