Only to a stupid liberal is there so much gun violence that we should ban guns but if you want a gun to protect yourself from all that violence you are just being paranoid.

There’s a problem in the US with morality.
A lot of it began with Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society.
It was a brilliant political ploy but a moral disaster.

YES, Mark, guns exist.
NO, Mark, no amount of banning or laws or confiscations will EVER get rid of them. (I'm not a gun smith, but I know several who are. Take all you want, we'll make more.)
Given the two immutable truths above, the ONLY way to give oneself a fair chance against bad people with guns is to have a gun oneself. Knives, bats, police, cameras, phones, condoms, etc... none are as good or as just as a firearm in the hand of the potential victim.
If you cannot wrap your brain around those undeniable facts, then there continues to be no point in paying any attention to you.
It's just come to my mind that the GI Bill may have additional advantages. Put at least one person with military training in a majority of classrooms, and lots of young students may start understanding the value of the military and of an armed citizenry.
I'm willing to bet there will be people at that community college who wish that military veteran had his gun as well as his hands as weapons in that classroom.
Mark Morford is stupid: he attributes living qualities to an inanimate object. By itself, a gun is perfectly harmless, can’t do any damage to any one.
Its the values of the person aiming a gun that will decide if its used for good or used for evil. Morford never addresses it.
You can ban every gun on earth but you can’t ban human nature. A liberal arrogant SOB engages in phony grandstanding to get off on his hoplophobia. Guns aren’t the problem in America.
I submit its liberals who have no respect for other people’s freedoms who are the problem. Morford is the problem and he butts in to tell other people that in his mind, he has the right to decide for them how they should live.
He needs to STHU and mind his own f*ckin’ business. No one asked him for his unsolicited advice on American’s RKBA which by the way, is guaranteed by our Constitution and repeatedly affirmed by our courts.
When it comes to gun confiscation, the Left has lost that argument.
