No. We DO “spy”, wiretap, photograph, interrogate, find deserters, buy weapons, and intercept as much cyber signals as we can get.
Which a a good thing - We’ve been intercepting foreign government messages since WWI.

We do not spy against companies for commercial info - Which is the ONLY thing the Chinese are “talking” about here! WE spy for OUR security AGAINST (or supposedly against our enemies (which now include the domestic enemies in the White House, but that’s a different part of this story.)) The Communist Chinese ARE spyinh against US companies to gain US commercial interests, to reduce the prices they pay and to increase the prices THEY charge, to steal industrial secrets, to copy the machines and computers and programs and technology and patents and trade secrets so THEY can continue their conquest.
THAT is the current war. And, today, they won another battle. Because (1) Obola doesn’t think we are really at war and (2) Obola (and his cabinet) don’t really want us to win that war that we are not in.
To sum it up, Obammy is a big fat liar, as usual, right?
Obama's showing Xi Jimping he can't push America around. Obama's not gonna let Xi steal from our companies either ... Nope, Obama's standing up to Xi... he's having an official State Dinner for Xi. That should send the message.../s
