Ah, I remember fondly that Christmas Eve of 1968, spent on the misty banks of an unnamed river in Cambodia. Me and Genghis. I called him Jen for short, he just called me John.
Anyway, we spent the evening singing carols, drinking rice wine and dodging Khmer bullets. Jen was a bit of a prankster and he may have gone too far when he rigged a fragmentation grenade in the rice sack I was sitting on.
Man, I was pulling grains out of my ass until Martin Luther King Day....

Why the long face, John? Is the Russians’ success exposing you and your idiot boss as the feckless clowns that you are?

Geopolitics 101. Power abhors a vacuum. Obama created one. Isis tried to fill it. Putin will fill it.

He did not spell out what he meant by the coalition. But the United States and allies have been launching air strikes against positions held by the Islamist militant group in Syria, and in neighboring Iraq.Plus those two guys @ 500 million apiece....

So it’s Assad and Putin plus Iran, vs Obama, Kerry and some schmoe who runs a fruit stand in London and wants a western democracy in Damascus with a bit of help from ISIS and Saudi Arabia.
That reduces to three against one.

Does anyone really give a hoot what John F’n Kerry says about anything??? He has been irrelevant since his faux hero attempt in Vietnam. What a twit! Another proof of the weak bench that the damn Dems have in their dugout.

There are moderates, but they are also realists who after seeing out betrayal of Iraqi moderates and after being betrayed themselves when Obama’s red line turned yellow, know better than to stick their necks out when they know that no one has their back or worse, know that the administration is so leaky and infiltrated that the odds are the admin will do worse than neglect them, it will knife them.

John Asswipe Kerry. Hmmm, when people complain about George W. Bush, I counter by saying “W will always be a hero in my book because he prevented Al Gore AND John F’n Kerry from ever sitting in the Oval Office.”

Russia is not on the side of “freedom,” Russia is only interested in promoting its national interests. That’s it.
And as it happens, its national interests coincide with Assad, Iran and Hezbollah.
