“something about the supply chain must have gotten ugly”

I figure either the government or insurance companies can be blamed for that.

Lera, an Aldi’s is being built in my area and I’m curious...do you like the store? What are some good things to find there?

“Lera, an Aldi’s is being built in my area and I’m curious...do you like the store? What are some good things to find there?”

I have to pass one about once or twice a month (live out in the country so it is not exactly near me
I have never bought their meats - I am picky about this so I grab that at mostly at Publix

I usually pick up a lot of good produce there
bananas .49 lb vs .79 @ Publix
potatoes 3.49 10lbs
red skin potatoes usually around 3.00 5lb
cucumbers 3/1.00 vs .79 each at Punlix
etc etc etc on the seasonal produce

tried their coffee creamer but my husband did not like it
eggs are about 1.00 less than the local grocery
coconut oil 4.99 it is the best I have found so far
bagged flake coconut is really good and about half the cost
condensed milk , good and about half the cost
chocolate bars - they have some tasty chocolate
baking chocolate - very good

canned stuff I don’t use to much of but I have tried their tomatoes and they are good

Thank you! I’m definitely going to check them out.

I agree with you about the meat...we don’t have Publix, but Kroger and Sam’s Club are good.

And the horror from the faces of the CNN nymphs(at about the 3:40 mark HERE )regarding this being(at least)partially the result of Obamacare Grubering is...precious.

I wonder why folks at FR, lovers of capitalism that we are, are not applauding this person’s business acumen in that he’s making one hell of a profit off this move. It’s the way of capitalism. If people need it, people will buy it, no matter the cost. And, if the seller makes a profit, all the better.

I know that many liberals have screamed for this guy’s head because this is an AIDS drug, and therefore (according the them) should NEVER have its price raised.

I myself am torn. Is the guy a genius for attempting to make a massive profit, or is he a scumbag extraordinaire for charging an exorbitant price for a necessary medicine?

Since when has monopoly been a hallmark of capitalism?

I have in stock 80 five milligram pyrimethamine capsules that I'll sell for half of $750 a piece and save the buyer $375.
