By the way nobody welches on creditors like, say, the Kennedys or Clintons... who are you trying to have America rush into the arms of?

Trump’s BUSINESS bankruptcies (he never had personal ones) were Chapter 11. That is a restructure, not a walkaway.

Trump presented the view that would highlight his ability to negotiate. Trump would not have to line item veto anything. It is pertinent to look at this view of things.

I have not selected a candidate to support, although I am leaning toward Cruz.

If you would elect a President who would lie willfully then you're right there with Xero's athletic supporters.

Trump would not have to line item veto anything.

There is a difference between running a State and a corporation. With a State, the legislature has specified how the budget is assembled and the latitude the executive has to hire or fire. Under a civil service system, Walker was bound to accept the budget requests assembled by his Democrat enemies in those agencies. The line veto is his only realistic option until those people can be replaced. If you expect Trump to be able to turn over the entire Federal bureaucracy you will be sadly disappointed.

There is no Federal line item veto.

It is pertinent to look at this view of things.

If there is a real requirement for reform, Article V is the answer - not for the people, but for the government to undertake.

Trump shared the budget as it was presented to Walker. Walker had the right to protest that this was not FAIR, but technically it was not a LIE.

I give condolences to you about Walker’s quitting. I’d have thought he would make mincemeat out of Trump if things are as alleged.

You still don’t get the point, which is that if Trump was in Walker’s position, Trump might have not needed a line item veto. Of course that does not carry over directly to the presidency (no line item veto) but it carries over to other budget negotiation processes. If you can mix and match apples and oranges, well so can I.
