The media doesn’t do female candidates favors by siding with them when a male is not respectful. It makes the female look like a little tattle tale at elementary school, crying to the teacher because a boy said something mean to her.

If he’d just spend less time running multimillion dollar businesses...

Yeah...running them into the ground in Atlantic City. Repeatedly, as he was forced to ignominiously admit last night.

Let's face the facts here: Last night's performance by The Donald indicates there is less to this guy than meets the eye. Even the novelty of his non-politically correct "plain speaking" has become shopworn and stale. This guy is accustomed to being in front of the camera, probably as much or more than many of his competitors on last night's dais. And this is the performance he turns in? It wasn't terrible, but it just wasn't very good. Once you get past "I'll build a beautiful border wall," it's pretty clear he has no plans other than finding the best people for the jobs he's looking to fill, and even about that he's pretty nebulous. Besides, that's what any executive does, including the moron now in the Oval Office, who also overestimated his ability to locate and hire talent.

At any rate...The Donald was overshadowed by several of his competitors last night, including Christie, Rubio and Fiorina. And he somehow managed to make Jeb look animated and interesting.

If that happens to you in a televised debate...you're having a bad night.

I don’t recall him admitting any such thing. Nice lefty projection, there, though.

FWIW, Trump’s timing in getting out of Atlantic City was just another one of his smart business decisions. Almost half of the casinos there left, during the time he did...and other’s have, since. The city was managed poorly (airport/convention center) and Trump saw that, and reacted accordingly. Smart man! He used existing laws to his advantage, if you’re referring to his companies’ bankruptcies. Again, smart man!

As for as Trump “being overshadowed” by the other candidates you’ve mentioned, as well as how “poorly” you think Trump did....maybe you were watching a different debate, than the rest of us were, last night.

“My group included pundits, an historian, a pollster, and political consultants”

Sounds like the writer is channeling Donovan in the song "Atlantis"...

"Knowing her fate,
Atlantis sent out ships to all corners of the Earth.
On board were the Twelve:
The poet, the physician, The farmer, the scientist,
The magician and the other so-called Gods of our legends."

It’s as if Melanie Griffith became like Sigourney Weaver in “Working Girl.”

LOL!! But, Melanie’s character didn’t become the weeotch, like Sigourney’s character was, IIRC.

I fell asleep during the 8:00 debate. 9:00 is when I go upstairs to bed most nights. :)

Melanie started out as a secretary and ended up being a good boss. Carly Fiorina started out as a secretary and ended up being Carly Fiorina.

I think a lot of folks fell asleep during the debate. Jake from State Farm Tapper had that overall effect ;-)

Absolutely correct.

Not only that as we know that was the plan.

Trapper before hand made it clear what he was going to do.

They are so blatantly hatefully biased and partisan that they don't even hide their agenda in a lot of cases, like this one.

This wasn't a debate, it was liberal “hosts” doing all they could to get the people on stage to get into fights with each other.

The goal was to make the most conservative ones trip up with their plan of not having a debate but a cage fight.

(Interesting that I was earlier thinking of the cage fight scenario and then was watching Barney and Co and he said the same thing-—I ws pleasantly surprised.)

Any issues discussed were anomalies in a sea of attempts to make the candidates, especially Trump, look bad.

This morning I was watching TV and listened to a leftist pundit say that they don't think about the issues but...and then went on and on burying herself in shameful/shameless leftist propaganda.

I gotta plead guilty to viewing it with a more disciplined and discerning eye, I guess.

And through it all, Ted Cruz stayed under the radar & did not join in all the CNN-inspired “Let’s you and him fight” madness .

Cruz observes the 11th Commandment & it will pay him dividends in the long run.

CRUZ or lose!

Not recognizing that Rubio has an extraordinarily good grasp of foreign policy says nothing about Rubio but volumes about your opinions.

So what did the wunderkind say? That you had to be ready to take command on day one?

Wow, that was brilliant. Let me get my shades on.

Did he attend the Tea Party rally last week on the Iran deal? No, that was Trump and Cruz.

I can't recall Rubio going to the mat on the Iran deal. Let's not forget that Marco got to the Senate and joined the Amnesty Gang.

Why would anyone trust this weasel is beyond me.

And you still have not made your case about Rubio’s foreign policy bonafides—you know, just like Marco Rubio.

Rubio made his own case. Either you didn’t listen or you were drunk on Trumpaid. BTW, I’m a Cruz guy but I do not worship him. You are truly a moron if you do not think Rubio was impressive in his understanding of Putin and the Middle East. Do everybody a favor, don’t vote.

Why do you have to resort to personal attacks?

I don’t drink and you call me a drunk.

Rubio is impressive in his understanding of Putin and the Middle East?

Good Lord! There is more cogent analysis of the same right here on Free Republic any night of the week!

Besides, what good is his impressive knowledge when he has not led on any foreign policy initiative to date?

Where has Marco Rubio been on foreign affairs?

Oh, that’s right, nowhere.

And since I have been helping to pay for the party in DC for the last 45 years, yes, I will vote, thank you very much.
