consumers would obtain their marijuana from licensed stores and pay a tax that benefits schools.Want to sell the voters on something? Tell them it will benefit the children, even if their folks blow their lunch money on dope or lotto.

Want to sell the voters on something? Tell them it will benefit the children, even if their folks blow their lunch money on dopeParents irresponsible enough to do that don't give a crap about anti-pot laws so were doing it even before legalization. The difference is that much less of the money spent on pot goes to criminals.

So a marijuana tax is helping to fund schools.
Why not go for broke and legalize cocaine, heroin, opium, prostitution, rape, pedophilia, polyamory, dog fights, kidnapping, human trafficking, organ harvesting from runaway youth, slavery by mutual consent, gambling, Russian Roulette exhibitions, etc.
Just think of how wonderful American society could be under a leader like Hickencooper.

The universal moral equivalence argument?
It’s a bad thing if a whole people wants to zone out on anything. Escapism never helps a situation. And STILL, somehow some of these things are not like the others.

Rape, pedophilia, dog fights, kidnapping, human trafficking, and organ harvesting from runaway youth have unwilling victims - pot sale and use does not.

And nobody sane would have a problem with utter bans on slavery.

deeper in the sewer."Most people who were not smoking marijuana before it was legalized still don't." The difference is that much less of the money spent on pot goes to criminals.
