[It’s interesting how many posting here miss the obvious.

At this point Trump is INTENTIONAL and pretty much in total control of the media.]

Trump is also in control of his detractors here at FR and throughout the vast interwebs. Thr DonaldDowners spend more of their time talking about Trump than they do promoting their own candidates.

Look. I get this. I live in L.A. Like NYC, a one-party town where the GOP is effectively extinct now. I can understand why Republican developers might find it to their interests to write some checks to LOCAL Dem politicians to help get a project done.

THIS DOES NOT EXCUSE DT FROM WRITING TO CHECKS TO HRC, REID, AND PELOSI. NOT NECESSARY. By giving to the DCCC and DSCC, DT helped bring the Dems to power in 2006 in Congress. No excuse for this whatsoever. And I’m sick and tired of DT’s fanatical supporters trying to sugar coat this. DT is a populist, not a conservative. Big difference. He goes whichever way the wind is blowing. Since DT is currently seeking the GOP nomination, he has positioned himself slightly to the right of Atilla the Hun right now. Assuming DT wins the GOP nomination, he will move aggressively to the center. He is a nominal Republican and not much of a conservative.

How well do you know Trump?

Well. At least I’ve bothered to do some research on him, including his past political campaign contributions and past policy positions. Something I would recommend you do as well. If past history is any guide, all movement conservatives should be very wary of DT IMHO.

As a former NYer, I have followed Trump for over 35 years.

As a retired Wall St investment banker (who has represented many big RE developers), I have watched each and every deal he has done and for the most part know how he got them done.

I know how he operates and why he contributes to politicians. Developers don't give to politicians because they like them. They give to them to get favors in return. Period.

By donating big bucks to the Democrat House campaign committee DCCC and Democrat Senate Committee DSCC in 2006, DT clearly wanted the Dems to take control of Congress that year. Period. You don’t need to make those types of contributions to develop a skyscraper or a golf course.

DT has had an enormously successful business career. No one can take that away from him. But he has done jack diddly squat for the conservative movement over the years.

That says it all.

He hedges his bets.

He’s part of the establishment.

Funny that people who hate the establishment are supporting the most establishment candidate ever to run for POTUS.

You said that giving money to the Clintons is criminal. Can you cite the law you see being broken?

You're gonna see what you want to see. Nothing else.

You're not looking for the truth. You're trying to prove you are right.

That's more like Al Gore than Louis Pasteur.

The truth is he gives lots of money to Democrats including the Clintons, Pelosi, and Reid.

They may not bother you at all, but it does me.

If it doesn’t bother you. Fine.

But I don’t have to support him and I don’t view him as much of a conservative.

No mention of Trump or the Clintons.
Do you have any evidence that Trump has done the same?
You wrote, “I think it is criminal to give money to the Clintons”
But the fact is it is not.
It is a violation of FEC regulations for an individual to reimburse someone else’s campaign contributions, but that isn’t what you said, and not what you presented evidence of Trump having done.

Reading internet headlines does not equate to truth. Trump has given 898 k since 1999. Some 62.2 percent went to Republicans. Since 2012 very few dollars have gone to Dems. Get off lefty sites.
