the Australian wild dogs
We have barn cats. They keep our mice under control.
Feral cats that show up on the ranch get shot. Period. They fight with our cats and run up our vet bills. They sometimes have parvo and feline leukemia so the best thing we can do is shoot them and dispose of them away from the house and the barns.
Trap, neuter, and release allows a pest to remain in place and I think of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco where the native quail have been exterminated by feral cats and crazy cat people.
The Aussies have it right. Cats do not belong in the wild in Australia and they should be removed as an invasive species.
That’s why I prefer the 22rf solution.
