You can cherish and champion conservative principles, or you can support and praise Donald Trump. But you can’t do both.

These people have totally lost it.

Let’s be honest here Mr. Wehner. Donald Trump is most likely not a conservative, but the people we elected to congress, mostly the GOPe, haven’t been governing as conservatives either. Don’t blame Trump or the conservatives voting for him. Blame yourselves in the GOPe. Now in desperation you seek to claim the conservative mantle when for the past decade and longer you’ve been trying to repudiate the ideology, and for good measure you tried to distance yourselves from Ronald Reagan. No, we’re tired of the game. Conservatives know Trump is not one of the fellows, but then he isn’t establishment like the GOPe. If he wins the presidency and proceeds to bust up the establishment’s grip on the Republican Party then let it happen.

To the GOP establishment, or GOPe for short:

Shame on YOU for making a Donald Trump candidacy possible. You don't like it that Trump is popular? He never would have been a blip on anybody's radar if you people had ever given a moment's attention to A) your constituents, and B) your party platform.

GOPe, for your information Donald Trump doesn't amount to a pimple on Ronald Reagan's backside... and NEITHER DO YOU.

How about we purge Willow and Petey? I used to like Wehner, but he’s a total RINO bootlicker.

Do he-and his compadres-not realize most of us have stopped giving their diatribes any credence?

George Will is NOT conservative-he is just another GOPe bulls*** commentator-especially since he claims Rove, Lowry et al are “conservative” as well...

As someone on FR said.. Here’s a newsflash George: “No one gives a rat’s ass what you think anymore.”

George has past his time and past his prime if he ever had one. His principled conservatism and bow tie and tasseled loafers are what have contributed in HUGE part to what has brought us to this precipice.

The Rats have brought knives to the fight for a long time and all conservatives like Will have done is bleed on them.

BTW... I’ve completely turned Bill Bennett off in the mornings. He stepped in it with his undying support of Paul Ryan but he clenched his demise with me on a number of subsequent issues where he is clearly a pubbie-elitist.

I have never been an adherent of buckley or even national review... just more of the same pubbie-elite and they gotta go. They have led us to ruin.

Dana Perino? cute but not material to me.

he argues that Trump is an affront to anyone devoted to the legacy of William F. Buckley, Jr., the founder of National Review and a giant in American conservatism. Just as Buckley excommunicated the John Birch Society from the conservative movement in the 1960s, so should conservatives today stand up to Trump and Trumpism.

Fortunately there are conservative commentators who are doing just that, including Bill Bennett, David Brooks, Mona Charen, Charles C.W. Cooke, Michael Gerson, Jonah Goldberg, Victor Davis Hanson, Charles Krauthammer, Matt Lewis, Rich Lowry, Michael Medved, Paul Mirengoff, Dana Perino, John Podhoretz, Karl Rove, Jennifer Rubin, Kevin Williamson, regular contributors to this web site (among them Max Boot, Noah Rothman and Jonathan Tobin), editorial page writers for the Wall Street Journal and others.

If RINOs like George Will and Karl Rove are against you then you can be assured that you are on the Right path.

I would wear that list of people against him as a badge of honor.

George Will is the very definition of an establishment man. He makes pretty conservative noises most of the time, however, he is first and foremost for the establishment. He is among those who would rather lose while retaining the control of the elites over the party, instead of winning and upsetting their apple cart. If I recall correctly, he was not pro-Reagan until Reagan’s victory in the 1980 primaries was a foregone conclusion. That is who we are dealing with here.

Trump wouldn’t stand a chance to run for president as a Republican had the traitors in the GOP not screwed over the voters. We voted conservatives in to de-fund if not repeal Obamacare and to stop Obama’s executive amnesty and to stop Obama and the democrats in general. What have they done? They screwed over the conservatives we voted in, declared war on the conservative voters, and gave Obama every damned thing he asked for.

Screw George Will! Screw Peter Wehner! Screw Bill Bennett, David Brooks, Mona Charen, Charles C.W. Cooke, Michael Gerson, Jonah Goldberg, Victor Davis Hanson, Charles Krauthammer, Matt Lewis, Rich Lowry, Michael Medved, Paul Mirengoff, Dana Perino, John Podhoretz, Karl Rove, Jennifer Rubin, Kevin Williamson and the entire lot of sniveling RINO wimps!!

You want to stop men like Trump? Then do your JOBS!!

Hint: It’s not putting up amnesty pimps like Jeb Bush!!

Dole, McCain, Romney, Jeb Bush? Get frickken real!!

Either put up conservatives who love America, love liberty, respect the constitution, are willing to do the tough job of securing the nation while rolling back the excesses or you can kiss it off and the GOP can die and rot in hell!!

We want rebels who fight not wimps who cave and kiss the left’s ass.

This is war for the survival of America as a free nation and the left is winning it.

You refer to George Will, Karl Rove and Jennifer Rubin? Give me a freaking break!!

Screw the big government, cheap labor amnesty express GOPe RINOS!!

Trumple the corrupt, treasonous bastards!!

Donald Trump has pulled back the curtain on the Wizard of Oz, revealing very small minded, tiny simple people. Deception and manipulation are the tools they have employed over their entire careers. Everything eventually comes to an end, and the gig is up for these establishment people, heir end is in sight...

Non sequiturs.

George “Pinecone Up Butt” Will, and others who are playing the old game of picking a Republican and Owned Presidential mainstream candidate:

WE CHANGED THE GAME.

The People who love the Constitution and the Country are not playing that game any more. Stop the stupidity.

Right now, we are fighting the STATISTS on both phony political parties. We are fighting the oligarchy and the beholden elected puppets.

PLEASE EITHER KEEP UP OR SHUT UP.

Not a Trump fan but I despise George Will and Rockefeller Republicans in general so I do have a dog in this fight and his name is Trump. How long before Trump quotes George Will trashing Ronald Reagan in the same manner?
