Great idea but they’d just put RFID tag readers in vehicles once they caught onto that, then they’d come out with RFID signal blockers then progress to biometric readers on the drivers. As long as they have our money to develop the technology the fleecing will never stop.

So true.

It’s why my “final solution” was to simply move to rural, central KY. This state doesn’t even have HOV lanes. I LOVE IT!

They can go FT-— Try driving from DC to NYC on the I-95.
The exorbitant tolls are a nice way to rip off motorists who render fees for services not delivered. Truckers get creamed with the outrageous tolls for state revenues. I’m sick of it.

The tolls are ridiculous. An 18 wheeler is something like $75. The GG bridge has a web site with its tolls posted and I believe the bridge is paid for. It is a cash cow now.

They would not survive. Seriously. The people around here have a certain attitude. It is a very healthy one.

While there are ways to make yourself impervious to AET, I would recommend paying the toll or taking a free road. I believe people have been caught doing the license plate-covering trick.

Yep. The covering is actually a felony.

And when we go to Chicago (Algonquin, actually) to visit the grandkids we just set the gps router to “avoid toll roads”. Works like a charm. And when we are there, we simply go nowhere that is not local to where we are visiting.
