If it wasn't "climate change" </barf>, Øbama would find some other rationale to increase prices and eliminate jobs. That's a core objective of his administration...

Eliminate jobs and raise electric bills is the purpose, climate is the excuse.

The federal government has gone to total war against its citizens.

If the very presence of man causes climate change then save the world by eliminating man. Isn’t this where Obama and his ilk are going with this environmental movement? Sadly, is this where the Pope is being led?

CO2 is NOT a pollutant.
Therefore, reducing it does NOT make the air cleaner.

Those effects could include higher electricity rates and the loss of jobs in the manufacturing and energy sectors.Wolfgang, are you nuts? Seriously, you should have stated "absolutely will," not "could." You should go ever farther and state we will lose global competitiveness and jobs will be driven overseas.

Right you are. A colorless, inert, odorless gas. It doesn’t catalyze other reactions. It isn’t a pollutant. It won’t make a lick of difference in air quality.
But the average LIV hasn’t a clue.

I’m absolutely in favor of this. Apparently, people need to be hit in the wallet hard in order to understand the complete bankruptcy of the Uniparty (that is, the Dems who do these things, and the Republicans who enable them to do so while feigning opposition). I can ride out the next 1-2 years.

I want the jerk to ban oil heating immediately, as of now. It’s the most environmentally idiotic activity in this entire country (and in fact, is unique to the US). He won’t dare do that because his NE constituents will freeze.

I used to have a bumper sticker: “Ban mining. Let the bastards freeze in the dark.” Never figured it would become governmental policy. But yeah - maybe as they are huddled around freezing and watching their elderly die they’ll come to their senses.

If I thought it would make a difference I’d agree with you. However, I live in California where we already have astronomical electric bills. I paid mine the other day.it was $510 for one month. And that was a good month. Next month it will be more since we’ve had over 100 degree days.
Hasn’t made a difference here. They keep electing the idiots who cause it. Next on their agenda is water. They’ve put everyone on a ‘water budget’ and we cut our usage by over 30%. I’m waiting on the price increase from the water company now.

“But yeah - maybe as they are huddled around freezing and watching their elderly die theyll come to their senses.”
I’m not understanding the above statement. These evil days, watching the elderly die is a bonus and an inheritance windfall, because then they won’t blow it on wasteful medical procedures.
