Think back to 9/11. Remember Palestinians dancing in the street while bodies were burning or liquefying on the concrete? (A rhetorical question of course. Not many one this board could forget).

When was the first time we heard “Hey Bubba, let's go kill us some muslims.” We didn't. We did put words to our anger and rage, a normal reaction. But we are a civilized society. We hold individuals and those aligned with them accountable. There was no one calling for the mass round up and interment of muslims in the United States (a dem tactic, by the way).

The concept of “Islamophobia” was invented by CAIR and/or the dems. It was a political decision. Still smarting over the Florida recount, it was a way for the dems to shut down any support Bush would gain in the aftermath of 9/11.

Islamophobia is a DC invention. With few exceptions, the gop, not wanting to appear mean and hateful, followed like the lap dogs they are. Hence we began hearing “Religion of Peace.”

If Abdulazeez wallowed in self-pity because of Islamophobia, blame it on those who invented something from nothing.

“Do you really know what Islam is?”

Everything I need to know about Islam I learned on 9/11/01.

The writer is Robert Spencer, who has studied and opposed Islamism for more than 30 years. He's the founder/director of Jihad Watch and co-founder of Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) and the Freedom Defense Initiative with Pamela Geller. All of these groups, to Spencer's everlasting credit, have been named as "Islamophobic hate groups" by the SPLC.

He is one of the most prominent and well-informed opponents of jihad in America.

I don't understand why you would say he is with the "drive-by media." NOthing could be further from the truth.

Because to my mind, anyone who would chalk up that murderer’s statement in the yearbook, and then his terroristic deeds in Chattanooga to self-pity is obviously trying to gloss it over and give him a pass.

I don’t care if he’s been writing about islam for a century. The instant I read the punk’s comment from the yearbook I knew exactly where he was coming from. He was being braggadcious and boastful....AND challenging to anyone who would read it. He was saying we should tiptoe around him, because he was a badass. IMHO.

Robert Spencer is obviously NOT trying to give Abdulazeez a pass. He says he was partly motivated by "dangerous Islamist/leftist lies" and his reaction --- going on a homicide binge--- shows "how little distinction there really is in the U.S. Muslim community between 'moderates' and 'extremists.'"

That's no giving a "pass". It's giving an indictment.

Spencer is the diametrical opposite of "drive-by media." He's the one who's in there for the long haul, exposing the sordid underpinnings of the murderous jhadi ideology and its unceasing criminal behavior.

It is well past time to start treating Muslims as they accuse us of treating them, and worse.

I have to go back on the FR archives and see how long after 9/11 it took me to start demanding the deportation of all non-citizen Muslims and the surveillance of all citizen Muslims. I suspect it wasn't long.

Still, calling for the deportation of non-citizens muslims and surveillance (a natural reaction to 9/11 which was an act of war) is a far cry from the type of Islamophobia the pols & CAIR would have us believe existed.

The ruins were still smoldering, body parts still being picked off of roofs and suddenly the narrative grew to include muslims as victims of 9/11. Repugnant.

Bill O’Reilly wondered if there will be blowback to muslims in this country because of what happened in Chattanooga.

Blowback? Really...

In what context? People won't like them? Big woo.

An eye for an eye? I have not heard of one rampage against muslims in the name of the victims of 9/11.

Islamophobia? A false narrative created after 9/11.

Was there something at Chapel Hill recently? The sister of the Chattanooga murderer has something about that on her Facebook page. I guess I will have to look it up now.
