Thanks Rash - have been out of pocket for the last few days and catching up -’we’re lost as a country, aren’t we?
I was surprised that the very thing that shot it down could be restored with the bill then returned to the House as if no part of it had ever already failed in the House.
I'm well aware of how much money sloshes around and spills all over people in the Senate even when they try to avoid it. If democrats in the House shot this thing down, what I'm hearing is that they did so because the compensation for not doing so was mainly going to Senators which made the House democrat crowd really pissed. They figured they were more likely to suffer from the revenge unions will dole out so they need more than what they were getting.
At one time I'd have laughed at the idea of it being returned "intact" for another vote but after the twisting of both the Senate/House rules and Roberts Rules that went down to pass Obamacare I now believe that anything is possible if the price is right.
Regards.
I think the adage money talks and bs walks is alive and well in dc. The best government money can buy.
I believe all of what you have here, what a shame that there are no Patriots left in either chamber of either party, it’s hard to be positive about the future of our country.
The majority of the population cares more about whether someone will sell queers marrying one another the kind of wedding cake they want than they do about future generations so we're near the bottom.
It is far from dead. The TAA vote will be 'reconsidered' next week. Just imagine all the shenanigans that will be occurring in and around D.C. this weekend!
