These trade deals represent a corporate coup d’etat where our judicial and legislative sovereignty are nullified by corporate outside USA interests.
There was little press discussion on this amendment to eliminate COOL (country of origin labeling) on meats.
I was watching CSPAN an hour or so ago and they were taking calls. Everyone is upset about this meat labeling deal and TPP. Nobody is for it. Its pretty sad when I sit there and agree with the Democratic rep that they had on while the calls were coming in. Pretty sad. The republicans are desperately trying to sell us all out to the transnational corporations and the big banks. Make no mistake.
Our national D/R Party leadership are puppets to the oligarchs and elites who have rigged the system so that we the people are convinced to fight amongst ourselves about other issues, while the globalists have taken over our government and our economy and opportunities.
I don’t stand with either Party. I want a Party that always puts the American people and our Constitutional rights first and foremost, and far above the bankers and transnational corporations and other countries. The 2 Parties play Americans as fools against the middle.
BTW I also watched that show and agree with you. One caller mentioned how these trade deals are essentially global corporate takeovers of our government. Our own courts and government do not have the authority to over-rule foreign corporate interests that do not want USA consumers to be educated and have a free market. We were once a self sufficient nation, and the globalists changed that.
It was that show that prompted me to search on here about country of origin. I was surprised that this labeling issue and the upcoming amendment vote to eliminate labeling on our meat was not really addressed in the media or even on Free Republic.
This isn’t about free trade. It is about the globalists who want our autonomous Bill of Rights nullified including gun control. They want us kept as serfs bickering amongst our own while they pillage us.
Yes and this labeling issue is NAFTA. TPP will be NAFTA on steroids. We look at every label. If you cannot tell where it was produced we put it back on the shelf where it can rot for all we care.
