Stupid blacks who stand up for black rioters, law breakers and arsonists are whining and complaining their way to a police free environment.
They aren’t going to like what they find there.
And if you can’t suck it up and move to the next call and maintain your composure, you probably shouldn’t be a cop.
I couldn’t do the job. Hell, I couldn’t do many jobs where I’d have to deal with the insanity of people all day long.
Eleven other officers, 9 of whom arrived later, still have their jobs. Not meaning to quibble, but wanted to be accurate.
When the officer was running around, cursing, and back and forth, I felt embarrassed for him. He was not in control of anything.
Yes, that's the one thing I didn't like.
Previous "Officer of the Year" is a Barney Fife???
Cops constantly deal with the dregs of society. They get promoted to corporal because they have learned to recognize and deal with situations that would leave you and me peeing in our pants.
He reacted aggressively based on experience and instinct. In 20/20 hindsight even he regrets the level of action. But he lived to tell about it.
I don’t think non residents should be invading a quiet neighborhood park and pool....lets start there....THAT is what happened....too bad we don’t have some video of that....
Sure, cop of the year once, and also a Barney Fife hysteric, he didn’t act aggressively, he acted emotionally.
That is why he didn’t fight, he just quit, he was an embarrassment.
The man has apologized for his hysterics and emotionalism, he said that he had some emotion filled calls earlier.
Why did he spend such a short time with the Texas Highway Patrol?
I did it for 30 years. In my next life I want to be become a Fireman.... better hours, better pay, don’t have to wear a gun and everybody loves a fireman.
Hear, hear....
You're on to something there. For example, a forceful "Please get back!" should usually be tried before a simple "Get back!" command.
If Plan A (forceful, yet polite instructions) fails, go to Plan B. But many people will respond to Plan A, so maybe no need for Plan B.
Of course, Plan A is out in the window if it's a violent, bloody riot. But this wasn't a violent, bloody riot.
The officer has accepted responsibility for his action, resigned. and apologized to anyone he has offended. What more do you guys want. Now go find somewhere else to throw your stones.
How about starting with his chief and then moving up the food chain. Let’s see how much responsibility they take for this unfortunate incident in the coming days. Let’s see if they will present the real facts that show this incident was not motivated by racism.
Also consider everyone has a bad day at the “office” on occasion. I’ve been known to throw a keyboard or two out the window. It may be due to stress or other emotional factors in their lives. Of course, I’m assuming you have worked for a living and know this.
You may have been a boss at some point. If so, you know a boss is only as successful as the grunts who serve under him. Sometimes you have to hire, sometimes you have to fire, but ultimately you have to know what’s going on around you all the time. It’s a boss’s job to keep his grunts under control and to see that they comply with ‘company policy’ at all times. If the officer had issues, his boss should have been aware of them before this incident happened, not after.
I am very disappointed in how his chain of command has gone AWOL under political pressure. But that’s life and life is not always fair. Now that he has resigned and moved on let’s see whether he took all the ‘racial’ and ‘excessive force’ problems with him. And let’s see how many other grunts are eager to replace him and take the bullet.
Like musical chairs, let the blame go around until the music stops. I wonder who is going to be caught holding the blame now that the officer is out of the game.
Thank you for your service.
I work with a lot of volunteer firemen, and they are all great people. I know a lot of law enforcement officers, too, and they are also wonderful people. It’s a high-stress job that can cause people to not act right, and there needs to be support for those who crack.
But I’ve worked plenty of high-stress jobs in other industries, and if someone can’t handle the heat, they don’t belong in the kitchen.
No, it wasn't. Just a bunch of partying teens. Many of which were black, but I discount that factor because they looked and acted like Oreos, not hardened ghetto punks. Despite some making them out to be violent anarchists, I didn't see anything of the sort from the videos.
When I was a teen (17), my younger sister (14 at the time) threw a party while our parents were away. It got out of control with party-crashers and booze everywhere, spilling into the street and neighbor's property. Someone called the cops, I let them in and asked them to clear the party. A lot of these kids were punks, some were trying to steal the shotgun from the police car. Cops handled things professionally, no swearing or theatrics, calmed the punks down. Maybe 40 to 50 kids, only two cops. Cops decades ago knew the difference between a kids party and a riot.
One resident, Benet Embry, a black man, posted on Facebook about the events leading up to the police call. Look, I LIVE in this community and this ENTIRE incident is NOT racial at all, Embry wrote. A few THUGS spoiled a COMMUNITY event by fighting, jumping over fences into a PRIVATE pool, harassing and damaging property. Not EVERYTHING is about RACE. WE have other issues that NEED our attention other flights of made up make believe causes.
In another post he is critical of media coverage of the incident. Ive never seen such irresponsible reporting and miss management of media resources in my life, he said.
Another McKinney resident, Bryan Gestner, posted on Facebook, This was a Twitter party that turned into a mob event. Jumping pool fence. Assaulting 2 security guards, attacking a mother with three little girls. The video doesnt show everything. He continued saying the kids were drinking and smoking weed and they would not listen to any of the adults around the pool.
This isnt about race, he continued. This is about outside kids invading our neighborhood and had no respect for authority or the residents here. I have a target on my back now and I have been threatened by these punks that they are gonna shoot up my house when all I did was try to control the mob and actually tended to the girl and the boy that had a bloody lip.
Yall dont know the whole story, Gestner continued. I commend the officer for handling this situation.
Gestner wrapped up his post alleging that these same kids came back into the neighborhood Saturday night. They were kicking in peoples front door, stole a truck and crashed it into many vehicles. They vandalized dozens of cars and were stealing things.
