By making this statement Schieffer is rewriting history to musing that maybe the corrupt MSM simply may not have been skeptical of Obama in 2008. What rubbish.

Everybody who was alive in this country during this election knew that the election pivoted on who Barak Obama was and who he wasn't. Every group outside of the fascist media and the DNC labored day and night to expose the real Obama, and the corrupt Bob Schieffer MSM wanted absolutely nothing to do with this information.

In fact, Schieffer and his corrupt MSM brethren did everything in their power to suppress information about Obama and to protect any damaging information to him from sticking.

That Schieffer now muses about the level of critical review of Obama is a deliberate and outright, bald-faced lie designed to misrepresent and rewrite actual history. That Schieffer and his buddies so easily try to deploy such a deceptive misdirection is telling in and of itself.
